  1. Due to some good Fortune we have bought out a bunch of the atari inventory of a game store in Southern California and we now have several 1200XL's in stock. I have refurbished Some of them and they are ready to go out the door!!! All Of them have had the S-Video Upgrade Installed, 800XL OS Installed for Compatibility and Been Fully Tested. I have also Revamped the power system in all of them so they can now use our new 8-Bit Evolution Power Supplies. (Click Here for a Pic of the new Power Supplies) No More of these 1200XL's getting hot on the back of them. =) They all come with the standard package that we always have for our systems 1 Refurbished CX40 Joystick 1 Brand New 8-Bit Evolution Power Supply (Special Version for 1200XL Only) 2 games (Pac-Man and one of your choice from the "Extras" List) All Necessary Video Cables Come Check them out. =) http://www.atari-sales.com In The "Refurbished Systems" Section
  2. I have a "regular" cart, not the USB one. The flasher on the image I was trying to burn was old (2005). I used their Windows app to update the ATR image (to 2009) and it worked fine. So the problem was the age of the flasher, but it's good to hear from folks who have hot-swapped the cart as well. I tried to re-burn my 1 mb Maxflash and got nowhere, using Maxflash Cartridge Studio 1.0. I can load .exe and .com files in the 'slots' and preview the cart in atari800winplus4, but can't get the program to burn the cart using my APE interface and cables. Is there a driver? Not a USB cart or driver, I also have a non-USB cart. I sent Steve a e-mail, but sometimes that takes a while. Cartridge studio Does not Burn Directly to the Atari Connected to an SIO2PC or SIO2USB Cable. if you want to use the Atari itself to Burn your Cart You have to make an ATR image using Cartridge Studio and then use a program like APE or Atari810 to run the image using your SIO2xx hardware. If you want to use Cartridge studio to burn the cart, you need steve's USB cartridge Programmer.
  3. We use a special Edition of the Atarimax carts. both sizes. we don't like destroying games to make other games. Blasphemy! =) All our games fit just fine into all the 8-bit systems. you don't need to do anything. just plug in the cart and go. We are looking forward to space harrier as well.
  4. That will be an Atarimax flashcart running the image that Steve provided (I'm 99% sure anyway.) No it's not. =) Steve's image has a couple of glitches. 1 - when you catch the whumpus the game will lock up. 2 - the store does not show the MULE's for sale. The Mule Shop always looks empty. Our version doesn't have these problems. The only down side to ours, is that it won't run on 48k. =)
  5. I Agree with this , but I would Add support for an "ST Mouse" or "Trackball" for Ease of use. Also, Concerning the Sound Effects: How about an ability to have a sound Effect "Interrupt" a channel that is playing music. This would eliminate the need to leave one channel open for sound effects. Also a Sound Effect Priority Setting would be nice. Example: If sound effect "B" is playing, sound effect "A" cannot interrupt it, but sound effect "C" can.
  6. Same Probelem Here on NTSC. Nice Work So Far Heaven.
  7. I'm struck by the difference between this and the usual PAL-Palettes such as OliverPAL. Example, this is 221b Bakerstreet again: Obviously, the adjusted left one is much more fitting for the game, but are differences in that degree normally observed in Atari machines? I Think Phaeron is using the Palettes that have been used in Emulators in the past. I don't think That There are differences to that large of a degree in the real machines, But Emulators have never been that close to the real thing and Altirra is the first Emulator to give User Controls for precise adjustments of the palette. I wish there was a way to save my palette settings to an External File so I could Upload them for someone else to use.
  8. Here are Separate Palettes For Both. Seems to work Well. I Edited My Last Post For the NTSC Palette. Both are posted Here. PAL: NTSC:
  9. The New Altirra Does Seem to be different. Here are the new Settings I used. They Seem to Work Well With NTSC. =) EDIT: In made an Error in the last picture. Here is the correction You must make sure to go into PAL Mode and Check the "Use PAL Quirks" Box and leave it checked for NTSC.
  10. The Stereo Version is Using a 16bit (Gen 6) Bass. =)
  11. This Seems to be a problem with altirra. Not Sure what the Problem is though. When Switching between Mono and stereo you must restart altirra or you will have problems.
  12. Here are Final Versions of The Stereo and Mono Unreal Superhero III Songs. Instrument Volume has been Improved and Phase Canceling Problems in the Mono Version has been Fixed. Enjoy. =)
  13. How About this? =) Link to Post #26 with the final version
  14. Yes. Dual Pokeys. I used Standard Filter Synth and Square wave Sounds for the main tune and a 16bit bass (Left channel Voices 3 and 4). Thanks. it's a cool song so i just thought the 8-bit deserved a version. =)
  15. Youtube Video of the version I did. =P YouTube Link
  16. thanks! I have a video of castle crisis on my youtube channel. It's an awesome game. =)
  17. Thanks Everyone. Here is a version with the bass sustains fixed. Link to Post #26 with the final version
  18. Since I did Unreal Superhero 3 for the pokey I thought it would be cool to do a little video with the music. I'm not the greatest at video editing but here it is. =) Video: A Tribute to the Atari 8-Bit
  19. I liked this song so I decided that if the c64 had a version, then there needed to be an 8-Bit version as well. =) Unreal Superhero III - In Stereo: Link to Post #26 with the final version
  20. Thanks for the compliment. =) I hadn't thought of PAL Response. I'll have to look in to that. Here are a couple more adjustments: Hue Start: -50 Hue Step: 27.5 Brightness: +0% Contrast: 105% Saturation: 40% Artifacting Phase: 189 Artifacting Saturation: 90% Artifacting Brightness: +0%
  21. I Recently Made some minor Changes to my earlier settings for a better Artifacting look Hue Start: -50 Hue Step: 27.5 Brightness: +0% Contrast: 100% Saturation: 35% Artifacting Phase: 189 Artifacting Saturation: 90% Artifacting Brightness: +0% Hope this helps people get a good "Real Atari" Look. =)
  22. I'd like a copy of that. do you still have it. I can't seem to find it anywhere. =)
  23. NES Switch Boxes Do NOT work with the atari 7800 or any other 8-bit atari system.
