Then (80's) my favourite games were Missile Command, Yar's Revenge, Phoenix and Asteroids.
Today, I still play Yar's Revenge and Phoenix.
I'm slowly building a small collection of cartridges, so I can found fun other games as well

Thanks, I'll check today. In fact, I never checked the two ports!

Is the normal 2600 Jr., without built-in games.
Strangely, the unit doesn't work property with the Video Touch Pad, either, but the driving paddles work fine.
¿Why? I have no idea.
Thanks in advance

Hola estimados,
Claudio

Hi!
I'm Claudio, from Chile. A few months ago I decided to play again with my old 2600 Jr and 14 old cartridges. I remember when my father bought it in Venezuela (we were living there in the 80's) circa 1986. At that time the 2600 was still the dominant console, and the 5200 was more a like a deluxe 2600. I played a lot until I came to Chile.
I remember that my Jr didn't work with the paddle controllers. Is this normal or maybe my unit was faulty from the beginning? Can it be repaired or modified to accept these controllers?
Anyway, I got a 7800 and 4 switch 2600 to play with the paddles., but play with the old 2600 jr has an emotional value for me.
Thanks a lot!
Claudio

A bit off topic, but I think any 2600 (or 5200 or 7800 by the way), can be special. The memories you have with it make it special.
I love my 2600 because of the time I spent with it while I was a child. That makes it no replaceable.
