I'm just waiting on getting some more PCB's in from China, so it'll be about 3 weeks before I start shipping again. I've been a bit pre-occupied with the NeoGeo Pocket cart, but now that's finally shipping I can spread my attention around a bit more again. It's amazing how much there is to do, and how little time...

Thank you for responding. I certainly appreciate it and can't wait to try this out.

Step 1. Done!
Step 2. When your number comes up, he contacts you and you pay.
Step 3. Enjoy!

Hi,
What has been folks turnaround from request to number comes up? I posted on 5/29 so looking for an approximate time. Thank you!

For anyone following, I think I narrowed down at least one problem to the clk_a1 signal. I tried feeding each clk_a# individually and only clk_a1 seems to be dead at that connection on the Lynx board. I'll look at the schematic and see if that signal is accessible somewhere else.Thanks. I will post a pic of the wiring. I also installed the cap kit, so I wonder if I did something wrong. Tonight I'll go back through all the caps and solders joints.
Also a stupid question, if I don't install the vga connector do I still have to remove the backlight knob? Thanks again for any help.

In the case with a traditional diode, your resistance you be zero as current is able toe flow thought the diode. I you flip it, you should have a significant resistance as the current shouldn't be allowed to flow the opposite direction. However since D10 in this instance shows the same resistance on both sides why know the diode is not functioning properly. Zener's however would still register some resistant that would depend on the intended voltage drop, in both case the delta in ohms was relatively small, especially when compare to a brand new replacement.
I replaced the zener and a few caps on the second lynx and it turn on immediate as well as the power LED when plugged in. So obviously more power circuit repair is required, I have order some more caps and MOSFETs, but I'll go through all the diodes in the mean time and replace what I can as required while I wait for parts to arrive
Hi, where to you order the diodes and zener diodes from? Thanks.

I removed and resoldered the 9 wires and I see the same exact thing as above. The only thing I have not checked is the jumper that's referenced in the instructions. Where is it on the PCB? I am using RES. Thanks for any help.

Could just be me, but doesn't that kinda look like the LCD for the GG upgrade? I will tell that you I originally ordered the LCD upgrade for my Lynx2 from Console5 when they were first available through there. However, I actually ended up receiving the GG upgrade kit minus the GG stuff needed to be added. They were cool about it and eventually I ended up with 1 of each kit over the process of it all.
But yeah..just making sure because again the LCD pcb there doesn't look like the Lnyx one?
Here's the back of the PCB. The screw holes do line up on the Lynx 2.

Double and triple check your 9 connections on the LCD mod and Lynx board. I had a similar problem and it ended up being 2 wires were wrong.
Thanks. Did you use TPR or RES, and if you used RES did you have to do anything with the jumper? BTW where is the jumper? I desoldered the 9 wires and will start over.

Hi,
I purchased McWill's kit from console5 and installed it in my Lynx II this morning. I also installed the cap kit. I verified 5v on VCC, and all the connections. However when I power it up, I see garbage on half the screen, and part of an image on the other half. See image. Any advice on what to check is appreciated. I also had a question regarding TPR and RES. Where is the jumper that is mentioned in the kit instructions? Thanks!

Lynx LCD Replacement/VGA-Out by McWill

After stepping away for a few weeks this morning I resoldered the wires, and success! What I did was I removed the old LCD panel ribbon connector from the motherboard completely, allowing me to run the wires through the holes before soldering. This evidently fixed the issue with one of the missing CLK signals. I'm very happy with it. Thanks to everyone for their help.
