  1. Here in UK and have a Lynx 2, actually it belonged to my g/f but she only ever used it a few times and forogt about it, found it (after a year!) at hte bottom of the wardrobe. and it's been ages since used it as only has a few games. Been thinking of getting a mains adapter for it though and some more game cards. Any good mystery/strategy games anyone can reccomend???
  2. When I had my firstmachien (800XL back when I was a kid) I used it mianly for programming (the built in atari basic) and also for some games. When I got my first ST (520STfm) I used it for word processing mianly, then games. i didn't get on with Atari's own ST Basic since when I got the machien it didn't come with a basic manual. I tinkered with LOGO a bit, but it was kinda crap. Now I use my STe for, well... nothing, since the hard drive went south. Up until then it was used for programming (GFA Basic and Metacomo ST basic), database work (Superbase), photo storage, and word processing (Tempus and Marcel). No games apart from Chess Master 2000 (debating abt getting a Jag sometime for games, but not sure if I'm interested enough to make it worthwhile, really) My new TT will probabaly be used for most of that, and also HTML coding and editing when it's networked. I intend to use it to replace my PC as much as possible (it'll need a bigger hard drive and grpahics card first tho as well as getting networked one way or another) which I dont think will be to difficult since I don't like big modern heavy graphics video games, and I don't burn MP3's or DVD's, and most websites I use are fairly basic. Once the TT is up and running the STe will be something of a second machine, mainly so my parnter can browse the web or check our library catalogue while I'm doing something else on the TT. Gaveup on PC's ages ago for anythign apart from jobs needing the net, if all goes well won't need it for that either - though I'll keep one for things like acessing Flash websites, and for C++ and VB.
  3. I wanted to get one for an STe as well, possibly also for a TT though I heard Rudolphe Czuba was intending to make a version of the CT Link for the TT that incoroporated an ethernet port with a graphics card??? If that's still on the cards it'd be a better solution (for me) as my TT doesn't have a graphics card. But if there is going to be another Ethernec run, I'm down for at least one. BTW: Re ethernet and TOS Atari's, can the ethernec be connected directly to an ADSL modem or ethernet hub, or does it HAVE to run via a PC first (driver problems?)
