  1. i really dont have any friends that are into it, but ill break out a bunch of games for a system if im alone without much to do. my last INTV session, i played Burgertime, dertermined to get to Level 15, but i couldnt get past 14 in three different games
  2. there is no real difference, so it comes down to your preference of controls, which most people will take the VCS controller over the INTV. But Pitfall is pitfall, you cant go wrong
  3. check your local blockbuster, they have the best deals on N64 games hands down, and since carts are more durable than CDs, you have little risk of buying defective or abused games.
  4. but i would love to see a fighter's megamix 2 with Virtua Fighter and Soul Caliber characters
  5. INTV has the best version of Burgertime on any console i also love the port of Bump N Jump Snafu has some good tunes for a golden age system Beauty and the Beast is the best Donkey Kong clone out there (what else would you expect from imagic) If you grab an Intellivoice, all of its games are pretty cool to play, the voice samples are quite impressive for the day of course most of the common first party games are worthy of a play, and arent too expensive. for example the dealer in Las Vegas Poker and Blackjack is pretty amusing
  6. its a nintendo message board, the people running the board have the right to censor whatever they want. (free speech doesn't exist in real life anyway) as for the game itself, i never got into the N64 Zelda games, as i dont care for 3D worlds like those. So i doubt ill find Wind Walker any better.

  9. i have a hack system similar to the one pictured, but it only has 144 games on it. It does have the cool gun, that is lighter and more repsonsive than any older game gun (although it does look a tad too real) ive ever played.
  10. i agree, but its two different generations, and flicky deserves a spot on a sonic compilation, since flickies are a part of the franchise, while comix zone is just a kickass genesis game
  11. eh, its a mid 80's arcade game, they werent aiming much higher than muzak
  12. on the GBC rereleases of Dragon Warrior, Erdrick was renamed Loto, and since Enix and Square are part of the same company now, i wonder why they didnt use Loto?
  13. aw, cmon, flicky is awesome. kindof like a cutesy version of joust
  14. youll know that youve "maxed out" a game when you boot a title up, and the screen that says "logging game" does not show up before the game starts. Its tedious as hell, and it took me four hours of starting and stopping all of those games to unlock everything. I wish there was a widely available dex drive type device for the cube already so game saves like this turd can be downloaded btw, the game is awesome, the unlocking process is a turd
  15. excellent find on the INTV games, did they come in boxes? even if those are loose carts, 1.99 for the Super Pro Sports games are a steal
  16. its not too bad to take pics with the camera on the sp, you can turn the camera head around, and there is a function on the cart that allows you to flip the image upside down. Its an extra step, but it ends up working great i also have a printer, and ive nabbed about five boxes of paper from a local KMart for 25 cents a box Ill probably never use all that, but its nice to have as a backup
  17. not 100 percent on topic, but Target has BMX XXX on clearance at target for 12 bucks. Pick up a copy, if you want to see live nipples on a Nintendo system. Yeah the game completely sucks, but a good gimmick is a good gimmick
  18. i played FFO for the first time today, its a nice remix that maintains the orginal's challenge, and ups the graphics and sound just enough to make it a bit more pleasing without going overboard... now to the interesting part. In the NES version, you may or may not remember three tombstones in the Elf Village, one of the tombstones said "Here Lies Erdrick" of Dragon Warrior fame. In this version (that was released on the PSX mind you, and is the first title in the US under the new Square/Enix lable), this tombstone now bears the name Link. Since this game has nothing to do with any Nintendo based system, i thought it was an interesting choice to say the least. Im not sure if it was a shot at Nintendo, or an homage. Knowing the checkered past of Square and Nintendo, im thinking its more of an insult. any thoughts?
  19. If its complete, id say thats a great price, if its the cart only, it would be a fair price. while this version of DD looks great, the controls are pure crap. Accolade wasnt one of the better Genesis third parties...
  20. yup here are a couple of tricks to make the game easier... when in combat, to stop the endless cycle, press the a button during the battle sequence, you can then choose your strategy If Shir (the theif) is at level 10 or higher, take her to the tower in Paseo, then go to storage room. She will disappear when you exit, go back to Rolf's house and she will have stolen the visaphone. With this device, you can save ANYWHERE in the game. what did you think about the ending?
  21. my oddessy 3000 pong clone has embedded controllers, come to think of it
  22. The original Intellivision unit also had embedded controllers and was first produced in 1979. Atari and Coleco also incorporated the INTV's keypad
  23. well, ill defend them at least to the point that they are a mainstream gaming site that has no ties to any larger corporation, after the internet demise, its nice to know they are still around, and Tal is an all around great guy (i dealt with him with moderating issues). Besides, gamespot has started charging as well. Frankly, the state of modern gaming is so lame these days, i dont care to keep up with it. When the Dreamcast was new, my level of excitement and interest was much greater. These days, there isnt much out there to get me excited.
