BEBE'S KIDS.. holy shit this game sucks

cool world was a really bad game too, but Nintendo has an assload of horrible games released for their systems by third parties -
im lazy, anyone care to post the entire list of tengen games, and mention if they had an official cart version or not (like Gauntlet and RBI Baseball)?
-
i got lucky and was asked to write for IGN's Macintosh channel, but then they proceeded to not pay me after the first month

you cant believe that MS is taking the same loss on every xbox sold today as they were a year earlier. The price of technology goes down, and im sure they are now at least close to breaking even on hardware sales

Getting back into Phantasy Star
chrisbid replied to Paralistalon's topic in Classic Console Discussion
part of the charm of Phantasy Star II is its difficulty. the ending will blow you away, if you need any maps check out http://www.phantasy-star.net -
i played dragon warrior VII for two hours and didnt get into a single fight
-
yes, but we need game systems from sega and atari *sniff*
-
cool, i think ill take columns for the SMS
-
theres also Phantasy Star Collection for GBA, 30 dollars for PS I, II, and III is a great deal
-
its not so much that i like nintendo as Sony and Micro$oft abolutely suck
-
im sure it probably just me, but this game is dam hard, i cant reach the third board. It was nice of Atari to give you the option to have fewer ghosts, but im not one to cheat that badly. Am i crazy to think the ghosts have much better AI in this game than previous PacMan games on the VCS?

im not saying those games for N64 were bad, but after OOT, people either had made up their mind on the N64, and i think the same is true for Zelda on the cube. You dont see too many people on the fence about the cube, they either love it or hate it. im in the population that loves it, but i realize that a system with a lack of boobies and gore will never be a huge seller.

as cool as dragon warrior was for me back in 1989, Phantasy Star for the Sega Master System came out a year earlier and is light years better than Dragon Warrior. Phantasy Star II for the Genesis is god-like for old skool RPGs, no RPG will ever be as difficult, yet rewarding as PSII

ill say syracuse over kansas total score - 140

Sonic is very high up, references of him on the simpsons (bonestorm episode), and his being a clue in Jeopardy affirms that he is well known outside of the gaming world. Id say that pacman is probably the most well known character, Mario and Sonic are more popular within the community. I think everyone has played a variaition of PacMan at one point or another. Whereas Super Mario Bros. requires a bit of explanation to non-gamers before trying to play it, and a lot of neophytes would die on world 1-1

actually, i think zelda is going to be the last system seller for the cube, the same way Zelda OOT was the last system seller for the N64. I dont think there are many people that want a cube that do not own one yet. With the free game deal, essentially the cube is now 100 dollars, and im sure theyll get one final boost with an official drop to 100 bucks, but i dont see Nintendo gaining any ground.

Gameboy games (must haves across all systems)
chrisbid replied to RangerG's topic in Modern Console Discussion
if you like old RPGs, pick up Phantasy Star Collection and take a look at Breath of Fire I and II -
sounds like a troll to me its a shame, because Nintendo really went all out with this system, the PS2 is not number 1 becuase of its online ability, so lack of online is not the reason it isnt doing that well. I think that a majority of cube owners have more than one system, so third party titles do not do as well for the cube as they will on the PS2 or XBox. But the first party stuff is excellent, and cannot be matched.

Gameboy games (must haves across all systems)

The sonic games played well, but they didnt have the same feeling as the genesis games. The music is SNESish and bland, the tunes werent anywhere near as catchy as the original games. If youre getting a GBA you have to get Namco Museum -
alcohol can harm a game, if you submerge it and leave it there for a little bit. if you just use a small amount on a q-tip, it evoporates right away, and there is no possibility of damage.
-
id say thats a fair price, at least you didnt get ripped off with shipping its a lousy game though, good for a laugh and not much else
-
i boot up football and start to laugh at the absurdity of the game. then i laugh some more, and after laughing for an hour, ive had more fun then i do playing about 70 of games out there
