  1. go to http://www.MCMelectronics.com and get a 72-pin connector for 5.99. Youre NES will play like new.
  2. i have a 3000, got it for 3 dollars at an old thrift store in cincinnati (its been torn down). What i like about is, the sound comes out of the console rather than the TV
  3. thanks for the link there is a lot of good tech data at the Blue Sky Rangers Homepage. There is also some insight to how they wrote 2600 M-Network games.
  4. The Intellivision - it was my first system, and it still holds a special place in my heart
  5. as mentioned before, emulation itself is perfectly legal, and if you own a game, you can play it on whatever platform you want. whether that is on a console, an emu, or a george foreman grill. But downloading games that do not belong to you is against the law. But as mentioned before, many of the companies that produced 2600 games are no longer in business or no longer care about their properties to press charges. the purpose of emulation though shouldn't be allow PC users to play old games for free, it should be a way to keep obsolete gaming alive. So if a company is activly producing commercial emulators or rereleases of older games, there shouldnt be much reason to emulate those games on their own.
  6. is there a paddle on that thing? if not, then pretty much everyone would suck if they had to use a joystick
  7. you need an ereader, they have already released Excitebike and Baseball, and the most expensive games are five bucks
  8. the atari or activision 10-in-1?
  9. its a dam shame about Virtual Game Station. My iBook was a much better portable PSX than then PSone/screen combo... although i have faith that a good PSX emu will be out in the next year or so
  10. anything looks better than black, although i would prefer some wood grain contact paper in this case
  11. a lot of early NES games used the same music and sound fx
  12. dont know about astrochase, but kaboom is the 1812 overture, which is public domain, so it would be a good candidate for music in any game.
  13. Burgertime and Bump N Jump... thats just B's... youre best bet is to look at KLOV and AA's rarity list and match the two up.
  14. try to nab some of the ODCM demo disks, the newer versions of the browsers have some silly little features.
  15. INTV Burgertime is excellent. Bump N Jump is also quite good, it was my favorite game when i was a kid. Check out Beauty and the Beast, its the best Donkey Kong clone out there.
  16. wal mart sucks, i dream of the day their employees get some balls and unionize
  17. there were two games for ROB, Gyromite and Stackup. Ive only seen him in the wild twice, and both time he was missing the spinners. Youre right, you do not attach him to the NES, you put a controller in a spot, and the spinners push the buttons on the controller, and ROB moves the spinners based on flashes on the screen (kindof a reverse light gun). Playing the game with ROB is frustrating, its much easier to play with two controllers. As rare as a complete ROB is, finding StackUp and the blocks needed to use with ROB are next to impossible to find. Its among the most rare first Party NES games. Its really more collectible than fun, and i dont know if spending 50 plus dollars on it is worth it.
  18. thanks, ive had my 5200 for four years now, suffice to say that it took me quite awhile
  19. welcome to the addiction
  20. http://www.intellivisionlives.com/bluesky/...i2.shtml#burger This is the story of burgertime from the Blue Sky Ranger homepage...
