  1. going way back in the thread, there is a stereo cable for the genesis 2 and 3. Probably the easiest way to get one is to pick up a complete 32X. It came with a stereo cable for the Genny 2/3, so even if you neglect to hook up your 32x, you can still have stereo. (plus i doubt the going price for 32x is that high anyway, there are a couple of halfway decent games for it)

  2. heres the actual link

put the quote into context, it was written in 1982, when Mattel first made the decision to port games to the VCS. go to the top of the page and notice that magazines stated that many of the m-network games were better than their intellivision counterparts. but dont get pissed off a mean spirted quote made 21 years ago in the heat of a console war.

  3. i had an intelllivision in the day, but i was a tad young to have a big head about it. Interestingly, there were two other kids that also had them, so we traded games quite often. It was pretty cool.

I think that quote from above was made during the 80's when the decision was made by Mattel to start making VCS games.

I dont find the BSR that snobish. I think its great they own all the rights to their games and have a detailed history of their development. All of us wish that Atari or Activision would have such a website.

oh, if you have Intellivision lives, there is a quick tech demo of a cartoon George Plimpton standing between a box that says atari and another one that says mattel, and his head explodes.

about the INTV 3, it was released by the INTV corp. INTV corp was notorious for cutting as many costs as possible (white labels, cheap boxes, poster style instruction books), and when they started selling consoles, once INTV 2s were gone, they went back to the cheaper original design

  4. Funcoland has always had weird prices for genny games. You get titles that ive never even heard of before only going for 2 dollars (funny world/balloon boy) and common titles that are portrayed as good for 10 (streets of rage). Oh well, there are a bunch of local places here that still carry them, and i just wont be going to funcoland anymore, its their loss.

  5. I use a 13" 1982 Sears Solidstate that looks as though it's been through a war and two depressions. There's something wrong with the vertical hold, too, that makes the picture have a big streak across the top, so I covered that up with electrical tape. It no longer recieves regular TV stations because I lost the antenna long ago. The picture is terrible, and sometimes it loses sound or color for no apparent reason. The TV has been dropped from various heights, it's covered in stickers, and the fake woodgrain is starting to peel. There's a lot of styrofoam glued to it for reasons I cannot guess.

    But it's my favorite TV!

that seriously sounds like the coolest TV ever, post a pic if you have one :)
