  1. kindof an unfair comparison, the neo geo was and still is a very classy system. The size of the carts, the feel of the joysticks, and the price of carts really set it apart from nearly every other system ever released. It was ahead of its time, and not aimed at mainstream gamers. The closest thing to compare it to would be the vectrex (arcade quality graphics, unmatched for its time).

  2. i dont understnad why they wasted their ONE page of classic reviews on games they find to be very poor. aside from the two jag titles, they also reviewed Marky Mark for the Sega CD (which deservedly got a zero rating) and Rise of the Dragon for the Sega CD which was a mature themed point and click game that got an average score. Its sometimes funny to joke about a bad game here and there, but if theyre only going to do four reviews a month, why waste all of them on bad games. Review the good games for the Jag for cripes sake. I only got GI since it comes with a 10 percent discount on used games, but since gamestop is going to drop NES and Genny games, im not going to renew

  3. yeah, the INTV version is pretty bad, when i was a kid, the first thing id do when playing the game is waste a bullet on the music note on the side to shut off the awful music. Then its ok, but quiet. Its a pretty lame game in general

  4. camelot did a great job with golden sun, it had the good aspects of Shining Force, and some great polish and 2D eye candy of the great 16 bit RPGs. Im also looking forward to the sequel, but i really wish they would team up with Sonic Team and Make Shining Force 4 for the cube.

Zelda will probalby be a great game, but i couldnt get into the N64 games, so i doubt ill get into Wind Walker.

  5. the neo is the most portable of the mentioned machines, and the only one with a unique library. Sadly, games are hard to come by and get pricey.

The Nomad is a great machine, but it eats batteries too quickly. Games are very cheap for it, and while there are far too many lameass sports games for the genny, there are also a crapload of great shooters and action games that flew under the radar of mainstream gamers of the day. I got super lucky and got one for 30 dollars, and it lays on the endtable next to my bed.

The Turbo Express is even more expensive than the Nomad, and games are difficult to come by like the neo pocket. I wouldnt actively seek one of these out, but if you were to come across one by accident, dont pass it up.

  6. i was reffering to sequels from older Sega series. Sonic seemed to be the only old sega franchise to make its way to the dreamcast. I liked the unique titles too, but after sonic, there wasnt much the system had to offer that casual gamers were familiar with. Streets of Rage 4 was in the works, ToeJam and Earl 3 was supposed to be for Dreamcast, Nights never made its way to DC, Panzer Dragoon, Shinobi and several other great games never were considered. Its not the only reason the DC died, but it certainly didnt help its cause.
