  1. Well, in Springfield, IL I know that Game X Change and Recycled Records sell VCS games. I haven't tried any other places, though.
  2. Okay, I put these items up for claiming: Sony Playstation Breakout - manual included, crack on case's front, disc in good condition Reboot - manual included, small crack on case's front, disc in good condition Game Boy Advance Banjo-Kazooie Grunty's Revenge - cart only, good label, PCB's pins are clean Kao the Kangaroo - cart only, good label, PCB's pins are clean
  3. I'll claim Big Bird's Egg Catch. I'm pretty busy today, so I'll have some items to put up when I get home in the evening.
  4. Thanks for the links, NE146, cool stuff, but I was really wondering about human players trying to beat the VCS on level 7; are there any accounts of that?
  5. The book arrived today and I am overjoyed! This is incredibly good stuff! Great job, guys!
  6. How does the game generally differ from ordinary chess at those levels?
  7. I have to wonder, has anyone ever played a full game of Video Chess on level 7? If so, how many of these freaks are there and how long did their games last?
  8. VCS games definitely look better on CRT sets, especially since LCDs look wonky outside a certain range of viewing angles.
  9. Ooh, this looks good. I'll definitely have to get a copy.
  10. Wow, wow, wow! This is the greatest display of VCS badassery I've ever seen! You should be very proud.
  11. DVD and VHS, though as NE146 said I could watch video CDs if I wanted to.
  12. I feel I should mention that Wario Land is actually the first in the Wario series (ie., not a GBC game), it's just titled as the third game in the Super Mario Land series. Do you still want it?
  13. If they're still available, I claim the following: Mirage1972's Dig Dug (VCS) midnight magicman's Mario Bros. (VCS) Christophero Sly's Pocket Fighter (PS1) lgallair's Leather Nintendo chain wallet In return, I offer: Face Ball - Cart only, lower label corners slightly lifted (Game Boy) Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 - Cart only, near-pristine (Game Boy) Daedalian Opus - Cart only, near-pristine (Game Boy) Airlock - Cart only, highly creased label (VCS) Super Football - Cart only, minor scuffs and very slight label tearing (VCS) I will send PMs tomorrow morning.
  14. I once saw a Pac-Man cart going for 5 cents short of $50(!!!). It didn't sell, obviously, and the worst part is that the seller probably didn't learn their lesson.
  15. Star Fire's title screen is very cool, with great music to boot! EDIT: How could I forget Go Fish!? That's what made me really fall in love with the VCS's animation abilities. And the music was kickass. I'd say that an attract mode certainly endears a game more to me, but I really prefer music (and then there's Lead, which has the best of both worlds).
  16. Isn't there a text file somewhere that gives you Basic Programming versions of Mario Kart, Pitfall, etc.? I'm know I've seen it before, but I can't for the life of me remember the title or the author's name. Yep, it's here: http://www2.gvsu.edu/~brittedg/BasicProgramming.txt Thank you so much! I've been looking to try some of those programs out myself.
  17. I'm not saying you're wrong, but is this really that much of a problem with Basic Programming? I mean, the longest a program for it can (reliably) be is 64 characters, and you have to exploit a glitch to get the last two! Personally, 64 characters is quite manageable, even with volatile memory.
  18. Yeah, well, I thought that was kinda the point anyway.

  20. Two or three inches on the ground, but nothing to cancel school over.
