What rare 2600 games have you found in the wild? How do you define "rare?"
Well, in any case, I snagged Submarine Commander and Racquetball today for $1.95 each.
-
It's a tough call between Pitfall II and Fall Down, but I chose Fall Down because I haven't gotten it "figured out" as much as Pitfall II, if that makes any sense.
-
Demon Attack, though Phoenix and Spider Fighter are very close behind.
-
Sometimes I won't play for a few weeks, but I've never really given up. Besides, homebrew games are just too fun to pass up

Ugh, blogs.....

Less than 5 hours, because someone else is always hogging the TV and it's too much trouble to connect the VCS to the other one.
-
and any so-called 'adventure' games such as Pitfall and Pitfall 2 that have zero replay value. You shall be beaten with the body of a dead scorpion for saying that

Man, oh man is this thread making me crave Metroid on the VCS, and I'm absolutely loving the music and the mock-ups.

Waiting dutifully for my Fall Down, 2005 Minigame Multicart, and Reindeer Rescue..... I'm gonna have SO much fun with these!
-
I quite like playing Star Ship on the 2600. I just think it's so fun!

Here's the updated version BTW!In this version (AmigaBoing2_0.bin) you can:
- steer a little bit left/right.
- influence and even reverse gravity (up/down)
The spin and horizontal speeds are randomly changed on wall bounce.
I have also included an experimental flicker version.
The final version (not this version) will have an easter egg.
enjoy...

This one is awesome. The ball now bends to my will! MUAHAHAHA!!!

My good ol' 2600, followed by the GBA.

I don't really see the need for more than one, maybe two (and only if you don't know how to fix the other), systems. I have a 4-switch Woody and a Long-Rainbow Junior.

Oh, wow! This new version is excellent! I love the new music!
But yeah, it should be ready to go for OVGE.Damn the fact I have no money and no way to go there.

Well, it's good to know there's another teenager on this forum. I'm fourteen and the Atari is pretty much all mine. My brother, however, tends to hate everything that has to do with Atari and has threatened to crush my cartridges, but he never does anything.
I hate sports games but RealSports Tennis for the 2600 rocks!I prefer RealSports Volleyball.
-
That's a neat little game! Music isn't too bad, either.

I use TheOldComputer.com to get ROMs.

I went to Game X Change on Sunday and got these 2600 titles for less than eight and a half bucks (Thank God for Buy 1 Get 1 Free):
Demon Attack (Text)
Yars' Revenge (Picture)
Skiing (Standard)
Chopper Command (Standard)
Grand Prix (Standard; defective so I'm returning it for RealSports Tennis)
Othello (Text)
Video Pinball (Lower-case Picture)
Target Fun (Text, Red font)
But, God dang it, there are so many games there I want, including one of those weird-label 1987 re-releases (but it's Home Run. Hmm.....).
-
Ooh, neat.
I just hope they're not keeping any rare ones there.
