I'd be far happier if I knew I'd be able to make rent AND be able to eat, AND have disposable income with which to better my life, these are high school and college students who are eating nothing but cup noodles everyday because they can't pay rent and tuition as well as buy groceries. These guys can't afford to live.

Part of the issue is seeing CS as a "cost center" to be squeezed. I feel like obvious outsourcing to India for call centers seems to be out of fashion -- or maybe they're just hidden behind chat windows nowadays?

If I'm upset at work, I am not allowed to just blow my tasks, do them wrong or spitefully. If I did, I'd get fired.
