  1. Anything think the N64 may represent the "ceiling" for MiSTer? I haven't tried PS1 or Saturn yet, all earlier consoles I've played on here felt virtually flawless. N64, though... just feels a bit off. I did some reading to see if there's some combo of settings I can play around with, but nothing stuck out. I did see a couple of references to the developer saying something like "nothing more I can do given the limitations" but not sure if that's accurate, out of context, etc.
  2. Pretty sure someone said that someone said that they heard that someone told someone else that they got them, they just haven't submitted the paperwork yet or something silly like that. But they're as good as got.
  3. How many you think we'll end up with? I'm the opposite... I'm interested based on the developer's history, and think it looks like it'll be a solid game, but the "Yars" title doesn't add anything for me. I loved the original game, of course, but this seems pretty far from it. Looks like she may play a "Yars game" as for a mini game or something. Which could be funny... imagine having to play some iteration of your race's traumatizing war experience just to open a door or something. Like they haven't figured out lock + key yet?
  4. Had some choice words for their other work too, like River City, Contra, etc, too, before you edited 😔 Oh... I read it as "8 or 10 if not higher" 😁 Thought we were shootin' for a Spinal Tap "it goes to 11" kind of vibe
  5. I'm excited to see what they do with it too, but I'm a pretty big WayForward fan, so they usually have me at hello. You do know it's WayForward, right? You had some pretty negative crap talking going on about them when I brought them up recently in a different topic. You quickly edited your comments and make it much softer, but yeah, I got the impression you didn't think much of them at all -- slapping Atari on there change that for some reason? 🤣 I wouldn't count on it. I figure that's gonna be a "what we see is what we get" kind of thing. I don't mind it though, but I can see how it would be poorly received by some of the OG fans since it seems to cater to a different demographic, I think. Yeah, I hope it rocks. But... higher than a 10?
  6. Saw this on my phone... hm... wonder what game it could be? So I clicked it to read more, and saw this --- Cool, I can see Sonic making a neat comedy series. But wait... what... Well, alright.... Love me some Golden Axe, but it's not the first thing I think of when I think "this belongs on Comedy Central."
  7. wow... so WayForward -- we have this game made that's pretty cool. Not sure what to do with it, though. Atari -- can you stick Yars in the title somewhere? WayForward -- Done! Atari -- "We're pleased to announce a new game based on the beloved classic "Yars' Revenge" Oh well, it's WayForward so I'm still confident it'll be a cool game.
  8. WayForward is one of those developers that I get excited about with pretty much every product announced. Gonna be interesting to see how they work in "Yars."
  9. Sounds like your "art to it" was the same as mine. Toss that original shit out the window and install BLW. 😁 I've tried replacements, boiling, cleaning, bending, etc, and nothing really seemed as much like a proper fix the way BLW did.
  10. Chocolate Peanut Butter is my favorite, followed by Vanilla. Cookies n Cream SHOULD be top dawg, but it just tastes a bit off.
  11. I forgot about this one. Did it sell a LOT? A quick glance on google seems to show it was pretty well received.
  12. I think it's a good idea, but sadly the poor execution of it just hurts the image of retro games as a whole. I would love to see older consoles being remade and performing 100% like they should. But not many of these mini gadgets do that. People who are newly introduced to older games though these things often come away with a "how the hell did you play this garbage" first impression and move on.
  13. Yes, current script best of my knowledge I'd have to revisit and check for sure, but 3 that come to mind immediately were Aliens, Blade Master, and Bosconian
  14. I used the "update all" script today and now a lot of Arcade games give "missing rom" errors. Even some that worked before. It gonna be like Mame and break things with every update, or something I'm missing (besides those roms )? I haven't done any troubleshooting yet. I'll get to that later when I have time, but figured I'd come here to bitch n' moan about it first.
  15. Lame. I would have joined if it was for Xevious - or maybe if it was one of those weird sex cults, those look fun - but no for Galaxian
  16. Yep, people should. You get the Amico Home games? If so, your thoughts on them?
  17. Berzerk Willow Black Tiger All arcade roms played on Mister
  18. "This has already been discussed" has already been discussed.
  19. Funny thing, well to me at least, is a while back he was saying that the reason he replies is because y'all troll him/tag him into these. But there it is, no trolling, no @ to him, no quoting him, just plain ol’ volunteering to rush in and meSplain it.
  20. I haven’t. I had a similar thought a while back – well, wasn’t selling anything but thought about grading and sealing some of my unopened games for future purposes – but after researching WATA, it seemed pointless. Pretty well documented, really… I mean, they’ve been known to grade and pass off bootlegs as the real deal for example, so I have 0 faith and respect for WATA grading after researching. Now, if you’re selling them and have no moral qualms about it, it could be worth it to you if you’d like to use the grading to sucker some extra $$$ out of some poor sap who doesn’t know that it’s a scam and still puts value on it.
  21. Thanks. That convinced me to go get one and give it a shot. And then I got all the rest while I was at it because, well... you know how it goes. 😁
  22. Nah, his "one thread" is this one...
  23. I would think any current or past games will predate all future games. 😁 Kidding.. I understand what you meant. ... ... ... Oh shit... I understand what you meant 😐
  24. Assuming you're familiar with SNAC usage -- if I have SNAC for "real" controllers, does it save the info after initial setup to allow easy switching, or any issues with switching from NES to Genesis to SNES to PS1, etc? For example, if I use a real NES controller with the NES core, then unplug that and plug in a Genesis controller for Genesis, then later switch to SNES controller for SNES, will it seamlessly know and use my settings, or do I need to config anything between switches. ... hope all that made sense. 😁
