  1. Based on what I've seen on here, I'd think the best way for you to increase your youtube activity is just to make alternating videos claiming "Atari Report is cancelled" then "Atari Report is Back On!" and just alternate those topics. We'll take you viral in no time!
  2. I didn't care for Donut County either, but your comment is funny to me because --- I can remember the adults in the family giving me a similar argument about playing Frostbite when I was a kid! They were building storage buildings and a couple of barns, and always gave me crap for building that igloo instead of coming out and doing some real work.
  3. I did the math 0 lives left + 9 seconds remaining + 15 second wait time for the platform to return = might as well go ahead and pray now
  4. Wait... are they bankrupt? I don't follow this thing that closely, but I thought they were still active, paying 6 figure salaries, and "on the launch pad."
  5. 83,380 I can breeze through 1 - 4 now, but Scene 5 hands me a whoopin'
  6. Might need to change that to allow any difficulty. Unless I'm missing something (maybe some secret in the game or something) "medium" seems to end after Stage 4 and it says you need to play on a harder difficulty.
  7. 51,940 Not gonna spam the thread with incremental score increases, but I found some diamonds (10,000 points each) so was pretty happy with the progress. Not much farther in the game though. But I am quite conformable with the controls and clunkiness now, so I'm liking it quite a bit.
  8. Same here, for the most part. I think I may have been the one who suggested it as a potential S19 game and played for a very short bit to see if it would fit the HSC (tracked score and all that good stuff) so it's nice to have an excuse to put see if I can finish it. It doesn't seem hard so far, just has a clunky sort of feel that took a moment to get used to. Playing as a real estate agent feels different from last game's Ninja. Much of it has come down to trial, error, and good old fashioned "learning my lesson" One potential tip that drove me batty much of the morning -- I don't think you can kill the mini boss/ghost woman thing (scene 2). Seems like you just need to jump over her a few times, avoid her until she gets bored and leaves. If there's a way to kill her, I've not found it. The manual only mentions "young prince Dracula," which was a super easy boss fight.
  9. 22,590 After a few plays, I made it to Scene 3. It's a start, and seems to be a bit above the current high score, so yay!
  10. 7) Deathloop (PS5) For the first hour or 2, I wasn’t sure if I was gonna like this one. I kept thinking “another game with incredible review scores that’s just not for me” Then it clicked. Then it clicked hard. And this was one of the most amazing games I’ve ever played. I’ve never really played anything like it. I’ve played games that have parts that are like it. It’s a FPS. Or you can play Stealth. (straight up Deus Ex, at times) With an invasion mechanic (Souls games) and a lot of No One Lives Forever vibes but with parts of Majora’s Mask timeloops while planning the job like Sly Cooper. Yeah, something like that. But yep, confusing as hell until it wasn’t, and then it shot to somewhere on the “greatest of all time in my mind” list.
  11. 6) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Shredder's Revenge (Switch) These guys did a fantastic job bringing that arcade beat-em up feel to modern consoles. Simple enough for anyone to join, but enough added depth to allow players to work in additional movesets and combos as wanted.
  12. I had a pretty hard time with it, too. I don't usually get all "grrrr!!" at games, but I'm pretty sure I now have some sort of deep rooted road rage type of hatred for blue Volkswagens. Gonna have to hold me back if I see one on the road for real, now.
  13. Yep. The should have left all those pesky enemies out. And add some damn safety rails to those platforms, for cryin' out loud, before someone falls and hurts themselves! State department run out of budget in that world or something? Jeez...
  14. Maybe. Or maybe he still does machines and it was just so fast I missed it. I'll play again later
  15. I played for about 10 mins and it seems pretty cool during that brief time. Like they added a bit of depth beyond the arcade games. Not gameplay related, but seems like they messed up the theme song, though. Like there was a drum track that doesn't quite fit pasted behind it. And they were ashamed that Donatello "does machines" or something so they rushed out some odd sounding line that mushes he and Leo together.
  16. Thanks. Seems odd they'd require that specific controller for a PS1 title. Wonder if they added anything neat? Nah, I have hundreds that show "in library" that were never downloaded. That's what seems odd to me.
  17. So, with the new changes to the PS+ subscriptions, I'm seeing things that make no sense to me. Like, why is Wild Arms showing in the store as "free?" I bought it years ago on PS3, but based on other titles, it seems it should show "in library" instead of Free. Not a complaint, but I'm trying to understand what they're doing with these titles that are suddenly supported because for those that aren't in my library, I'm not sure how to track them down and add them easily. Filtering the store by "free" doesn't seem to work, bc it doesn't even shows Wild Arms. Also, when downloading it, it asks to choose between PS4 and PS5 versions, but nothing telling me the differences, if any. So yeah, I don't really understand what they're doing with these.
  18. Hang-On -- Level 3 -- 297,660 First time playing this since Feb, 2011, where I recorded a Level 3 score of 1,630,460. So yep, I'm a bit rusty.
  19. Care to elaborate on how that works? I'm not familiar with the "bonus point" rules. We post scores of any other SMS racer and top score gets an extra point? Or do we just say "I also played game x" and we automatically get an extra point for that? Or something different? Thanks!
  20. 12,248,740 Finished Route A with a whopping 4 seconds to spare! I chose all Left all the time. For the other versions I played, I always thought that "left" equals easy, so I've been driving "Baby's First Route" all friggin' day and this thing was a struggle!
  21. I found the answer, it just flips over. I played again and got 27,800 after the score rolled over. Not a legit score for this, though, because I exploited some intentional deaths and 1-up loops to make it happen, but was just curious. I finally think I'm done with it for a bit. Funny thing about this game is, I can now run through it much easier than I ever could NG 1. In part 1, I could run through pretty much flawless until the last level or so, and then it was a struggle for me. I could likely no-death run this one if it weren't for some bullcrap timer issues that get me. I think that's one of my favorite things about games like this, regarding difficulty. Such an awesome feeling to start at "this feels impossible..." and end up at "The enemies probably hear boss music and crap themselves when they see me, now"
  22. What's messed up on the others? I didn't know about this game until now, and thinking of picking it up. Based on what you said, PC version seems to be the way to go, but I have a whole bunch of Switch dollars I gotta use, so trying to see what's the deal.
