I first saw VF in the arcade section of our local grocery store. They always used to have 2 to 3 machines there at any given time and would rotate in new ones. That one replaced Street Fighter 2 or Narc, I can't remember which. I didn't like it though. I was very comfortable with SF 2 type of gameplay so whenever the new bunch hit, I couldn't quite get into them.

Intellivision Amico’s trademark changed to ‘abandoned’

That could be fun. AA&A - AtariAge & Amico: Last Thread Standing The story of how one company wouldn't let their scam die, and one forum community couldn't get enough of the nonsense. -

Actually, nah he really doesn't. I've seen the occasional reply, but definitely not "everything you say." -

It's not a "such is the way here" thing. I didn't quote you... I said you chimed in to let us know that "or something like that." Guess you pretended that part wasn't there, "but such is the way here" I hear. So alright, it was "until they ran out of money..." that doesn't change anything about what I said. People are upset and venting over the fact they can't get a refund when that promise was made many, many times. You proactively chiming in to let everyone know they gave refunds "until they ran out of money" still elicits the "well, no shit... still doesn't change the fact they're not keeping the promise" reaction that I mentioned and serves no purpose other than trolling in people who are upset about it. -

I dunno, dude... to the rest of us, it seems like you're trolling everyone else and they (well, some at least) are responding in an overly aggressive, negative manner. Like, peeps could be talking about some shittiness related to Amico, Tommy, etc, and you'll proactively interject some fact that doesn't do anything but annoy folks. Like, you may be 100% correct, but it serves no point whatsoever. For example, many times people have vented over the broken "100& refundable at any time" promise. And rightfully so. It was a lie. It contributed to the scam. And it was shitty. And you'll chime in to to remind us all how they gave refunds until they didn't, or something like that. And we're all thinking "well, no shit... still doesn't change the fact they're not keeping the promise." You weren't trolled into those discussions, you just felt the need to add something and it trolled the rest. Kinda crappy to see some of the hostile replies you're getting, of course. To me, that sort of behavior seems unnecessary, but there are some, like that "redditshreadit" dude (from Beefy's screenshots) who has one of those jerk mentalities and would say that's it's funny and you deserve it. Some people, jeez... -
Smurfberries. "I'm here to kick ass and chew Smurfberries, and I'm all outta Smurfberries"

Fill that giant hole in his soul where Sega used to be. Yes. Something modern and trendy like Duke Nukem. And Smurfs. In the same game, if possible.

Yeah, same here I think

Will Atari bust you down for selling stuff with their name and logo?

Get it on your butt cheek so Atari can claim they own your ass. -

He'd say "Well, ya know..." Then rant about focus groups and market research and some data they have that proves, beyond the shadow of a doubt that all 8,019,876,189 people in the world not only know who he is, but would absolutely love to play a video game like that with local co-op. He'd also go into a story about how Evel Knievel was a dear, personal friend of his and actually started doing stunts after being inspired by one of Tommy's music compositions. -

Listen... anyone with 599 years of less wouldn't have thought to add that little red car on their roadmap, so that's something I guess. Ya know, honestly if they'd just come out and say it'll release "never," I think they might actually release the thing just to continue the pattern of screwing up every goal they set. -

Most people don't know this, but Tommy was the first American to ever create jealousy in the video game industry. He's gonna buy a guinness record/certificate to prove it soon as this house deal goes through and he has some extra spending cash -

Yeah, but I bet they only get 1 chair when they play Backgammon, so Tommy wins again. -

Just got the Amico Valentine's Update email and this piqued a bit of curiosity -- Our forecast for 2024 includes some big goals: Open up Amico game development to Indiependent developers (April) iOS compatibility for Amico Home (April) Publishing more games: Cornhole, Rigid Force Redux Enhanced, and Finnigan Fox Bringing Amico Controllers to market for this Christmas holiday season Other than the crappy spelling (it's not an official Amico release if it's not fucked up somewhere) -- what benefit would any mobile developer have to release their game locked behind Amico Home instead of just, I dunno... it's own app. I'm sure there has to be something they'd use to entice someone to do that, but can't quite figure out what that something could be. -
Why is the Genesis/Megadrive so downplayed these days?
Razzie.P replied to JPF997's topic in Sega Genesis
Seems like only yesterday we had a regular user who was always butthurt because he felt the Genesis was getting too much love and SNES not getting enough. -

Whatever 🙄 Neither of those companies managed to raise 39 million while delivering nothing more than empty boxes. They both had to work and deliver actual products like a bunch of amateurs. Tommy wins again! On a related note -- I don't usually want a Playdate, but that picture kinda makes me want one for some reason. -
Was probably some low key trolling by the design team. They're like "lets name it this and watch people gripe about it in the future." Hats off to playing the long game.

didn't nurmix already say there's really nothing to tell? Maybe that was on a specific topic and I just took it as a general "no gossip and drama from me" kind of statement. No idea about the Mike Kennedy thing, here. I'm not sure how since I've been on AA for a lot of years, but I completely missed that apparent shitshow entirely. -

I was excited about it because it was supposed to have --- checks notes --- every game franchise in the history of forever or something like that. If they go, wouldn't the other team win by default? -
I have a few NES systems all fitted with blinking light win and none of them have any sort of a "death grip." No issues at all inserting and removing the carts and they all work perfectly. Although people have told me that I got in during a later run and the earlier ones are the "death grip" problems, but I dunno. I've tried boiling, bending, new replacement, etc over the years, and BLW finally makes them work like I've always thought they should. Its a shame they aren't made anymore and hopefully new products like this one will fill the void.
