      I always found it hilarious that this game gets labeled 'worst game ever'. If you take five minutes to learn it, it's fairly fun. Certainly far better than the Swordquest games, and on par with (or slightly behind) Raiders and Riddle of the Sphinx. Neat review.

    If I didn't know this before, now I know that Double Dragon on the Atari 7800 KICKS THE CRAP out of Double Dragon on the Atari 2600!!

      That's true, but it's like comparing Jaws The Return to Robocop 3. One is technically better than the other, but neither is worth playing. And I'm saying that as a huge 7800 fan. The NES or Lynx ports are the way to go.

    Picked up Atlantis and Spider Fighter today.

    Atlantis was an interesting concept but I didn’t like it.

    Spider Fighter didn’t work.

      The way I put it: Atlantis is a very well executed game that I rarely ever want to play. It's very well done, just not for me.

    It's wild how much faster BASIC XL is than Atari BASIC.

      I really like the lack of line numbers in Fastbasic. Makes editing your text very easy. Fun stuff. Well worth a look. :)

    Ever since I got a SIO2PC 11 years ago, I always said that I never looked back after ditching my Atari 8-bit disk drives.

     

    Tonight I'm eating crow.

      I never ditched them either, but I rarely use disks these days. Too slow and unreliable. Mainly I used my drives to dump disks to disk images.


      That said, the occasional disk game on the Indus is fun. Particularly ones that require disk swapping.

    CCleaner gives me a script error when i turn on my PC, then get message that your CCleaner is out of date. There have been 18 updates since the version you are using.  There's alot of cleaning updates you're missing out on. Click below to update to the latest version

      Don't use those programs. They will absolutely mess your PC up if something goes wonky. Any IT consultant will tell you to uninstall them. My Malwarebytes admin console reports the program as a detection, even if it's not a virus or malware.

    It saddens me that the Game Gear was so overshadowed by the Game Boy, it was a good piece of hardware, so was the Lynx.

      The hardware was ok, basically a hand held master system. But the library was awful. I much preferred the Lynx library.

      If it had better games, it could have been a nice little unit. Shame it didn't get them.

    16 years after it's release I finally got around to playing Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow for the Game Boy Advance today. I have no idea why I waited so long because this game is awesome! It really feels like a proper sequel to Symphony of the Night. =)

      Deadly Towers. It has it's faults, but I played the hell out of it (and beat it) as a kid. Tons of secrets too.

    The best thing about having a Sega Genesis Model 2 (VA4) is that I can now enjoy all the games that glitched out on my High-Def Model 1 (VA6). Sonic Spinball, B.O.B., Earthworm Jim, and especially Alien 3 which would always bug out and crash on the industrial levels on the Model 1. =)

      The new Hyperkind genesis is surprisingly good for this as well. It plays everything, is hardware based, and has a nice small footprint.

       

      THe CDX and Model 2 are my other favorite genesis models.

    How come everyone here complains about streaming games but not streaming movies off Netflix which "kills" DVDs? I'm being serious here...

      MOvies are also a lot less of a time investment. If, say, I wanna watch an old trek film or somthing, it's 2 hours, and then I don't care about seeing it again, probably for years.

       

      Skyrim? Donkey Kong? Zelda? Those can take weeks of time. And I want to be able to play that stuff when I want, not at the mercy of some streaming service

      Dark Side and The Wall are classics, as close to 'perfect albums' as you can get. They had plenty of other great songs too. I missed my chance to see their last tour (Pulse) due to a job. Still regret not telling the boss to take a flying leap over that.

    No matter how many times they keep reminding me, for some reason I keep forgetting to "Like" and "Subscribe" every single YouTube video I happen to watch. Either I'm getting forgetful in my old age, or I just don't like being annoyed.

    I've been watching "The Expanse" on Amazon and the actors playing the Belters all seem to speak the same way as if they had an excellent accent coach, but David Strathairn sounds like he spent 3 minutes trying to learn the accent and gave up. If you Google it, everybody is praising him. I haven't found one "his accent sucks" comment so far.

      Yeah, the novels detail that the accents/lingo the belters use is similar, but different, depending on origin. David Strathairn is a great character in this, but he's a combination of two or three book characters, much the way Drummer is.

       

      I took the difference in accent as coming from his pirate origins.
