  1. Those guys make all their money on the shipping so they don't have to pay paypal fees

You pay paypal fees on the total recieved not just the non shipping amount, however they are avoiding Ebay fees. You only pay fees on ebay based on the auction amount.

  2. oops hit send too soon..

Another thing with Paypal is a seller has no protection whatsoever on international shipments, since they do not confirm foreign addresses. One of Paypals requirements for shipping and to be protected is to ship to a confirmed address with a tracking number. Getting a tracking number for international shipping is almost impossible. Paypal will refund should a buyer complain within 30 days the he has not recieved the item if the seller cannot provide tracking.

  3. Bidders whose bids are cancelled by the seller are automatically banned from bidding on that item again anyway.

I don't think they are, I accidently canceled the wrong bidder on an item once and they were able to rebid when I emailed them with my mistake, you need to add him to your BBL to prevent future retaliation.

  4. Makes me want to list my mystery NES and 2600 games I have here. Have one mystery 2600 game I got in a lot I bought have not checked it yet, I also have a NES game that came from the same lot that has the label ripped off.

  5. Sadly as long as it has been even though you paid through Paypal you may be SOL. Paypal gives you 30 days to file a complaint. The time on international shipping is funny, I have shipped items to Australia that take around a week and items into Europe that take 4 months. I generally only use air mail as it is cheaper than surface in most cases. Could be that it is in your country tied up in customs.

  6. I just add the listing fees and a little extra to cover some of the paypal fees to my shipping and handling. Average shipping rate of a video game on Ebay is about 3.50 I charge 3.25. Which for one game breaks down as such:

Padded Envelope 18 to 25 cents(buy in bulk on Ebay 500 at a time)

    Actual Shipping around 1.75

    Deliver Confirmation Free

    Ebay Fees .35

    Paypal Fees .50

    The remainder is misc. materials.

  7. We discussed this topic in a discussion board on Ebay once, while a seller can put a minimum on what they will accept paypal on. Charging a surcharge for using Paypal is illegal in most states. You are allowed to give a discount for using other methods of payment but you cannot add a charge for using a certain method.

  8. I remember when I was 8 or 9 playing a video game at the grocery store near my grandmothers house in Memphis. It was between 1982 and 1984. I remember you were in a plane and your object was to sink enemy ships. This was done by bombing them shooting mines at the bottom of the ship or causing enemy planes to crash into it. It was the only time I ever saw it . I know its not 1942 or 1943. It was not a scrolling game. Any ideas??

  9. Sniping is the only way I bid, 99% of the stuf on Ebay I bid on is for resale. Sniping reduces the threat of getting shilled. Since I do resell alot of what Ibuy I have attracted a couple of bid stalkers, they only bid on items that I am bidding on.

  10. I was amazed when I moved from Texas to Georgia, even though I am thankfully back in Texas now, that I had to drive 10 miles to the nearest Wal-Mart and I moved to a city bigger than my hometown in Texas. Here i can drive 10 miles and get to 2 super centers and one regular Wal Mart.

Out west they are few and far between.
