-

javiero replied to carmel_andrews's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I own a couple of c64 and a couple of drives. I'm still an Atari head. -
Just as soon as we get them they'll be on our website for you all - which judging by the speeds some of you were getting off the torrents might be worth the wait 1 week and it was worth it... Thank you very much. Now i'm waiting for the analog torrent. I will be seeding the Antic ones for a couple of months.

This was the company that sold Atari products in Mexico, they sold 130's, 65's, 1050's, XF551's and Indus for the 8 bits. Lately some of the unsold equipment was returned to the US and sold trough vendors like B&C so if you have an Atari with the sticker of Sistemas Inteligentes you have a mexican one. I heard arround about some people that returned their Indus drives because in Mexico they did not include the case and disks the original had but old plain DOS 2.5. Fotos later.

I think is good to be able to develop programs for the 8-bit in the pc, however i, as a collecotr, like the old fashion plain 65xe with a cart or disk for programming purposes, of course i don't do major things, and i love the oss languages, Action, Basic XE and MAC65 are my favorites, however nobody talks about microsoft basic, advan basic, lightspeed c and other forgotten stuf on the machine. If you have one or this lost gems why not share?. Ok, for starters, i have lightspeed c, it's weird to write programs in this one, is non standard, but is fun to use and fast. I also have kyan pascal and love it, use it with a ramdisk and if really flies. Never use it for a big proyect but is a good one. Atari Microsoft Basic II. I think nobodu uses this. Why? somebody tell me please. By the way, for those who don't know Myatari is the owner of the rights of Lightspeed, bought it there, it is expensive 35 dollars or something, but i think is worth it, so if you are interested go out and buy it. This is an atari dealer service announcement. jejeje.

How hard is it to program for the 5200?
javiero replied to fred's topic in Atari 5200 / 8-bit Programming
You can start HERE, this place has all the info you need to begin programming the atari 8-bit. -
well i firstly i have but its a slightly defective , the hard drive has errors and mainily reads incorrectly ,even after a fresh complete zero, format and reinstall!!! i really would not encourage a hard drive ..i find unreliable.. what price where you going to pay? i allready have invested like 60 bucks just to get this far and have it bomb! new drive cable, new boot disk , manual software, any how i really wished to talk to you and ask about kyran pascal , i've been programming pascal alot recently and have many library and extentions for us to use..i do not have this pascal you mentioned but do have others ,,maybe we trade some stuff? callaghan..in ...canada Kyan is for the old 8-bit. I think i have the latest version 2. something. It's a very good implementation of the language. I have an extension disk and the original manual. The manual is elsewhere in the net, and the disk i can post a copy if you are interested. I know hard drives are unreliable but... Now i'm open to other options like the satan disk out there... if anyone have an opionion on the system i would love to hear it....

wii question involving Gamecube games
javiero replied to RickHarrisMaine's topic in Nintendo Wii / Wii U
When the game supports 480p the wii will ask you if you want to run the game in progressive scan, it's that simple. I don't run gamecube games in my wii beacause there are trobules with some of them, metroid prime for instance corrupted a whole cube memory card. -
Dear friend, i use the falcon for my little coding for the st due to the lack of a hd for the 1040, so i code and compile on the falcon and run the final program on the st. also the falcon is a real beauty...

Just dug my old Atari 400 out of my parents attic.
javiero replied to Witchboard's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Awesome. It reported 37902. I guess it's been upgraded to 48K, which would mean I could support some of the XL/XE carts? How do you know if a specific XL/XE cartridge requires 48K or 64K? UNIXcoffee928... I'm still hand winding that tape. No, carts labeled xe game system won't work on the 400 or the 800, anyway there are tons of brown carts around.
