Allas, nunca debes utilizar la malla para desoldar circuitos integrados hace un verdadero batidillo, el desoldador de succión es la manera mas simple, lo único que debes cuidar es que el circuito integrado no se caliente demasiado ya que se puede dañar el proceso. Saludos desde México.

I know, but i like the A8 doses a lot, really, it gave me the control over the disk... And type load, how i hated that and it is typed in the basic screen i think... about the space the 1050 was a mistake of Atari but they corrected it with the XF551 and at the same time brought in more flaws. Still i think out of the box the A8 never had a real contender in the 8bit arena.

You know, i once owned a c64 with a 1541 drive, plain and simple no gimmicks, please don't give that trash and let me compare the machines out of the box. Well the c64 is a piece of trash, i have to admit some games looked fantastic but the eternal loading was unbearable... also, why get into basic to run a disk?, no dos?, my god the c64 was made for gaming no doubt about it. The A8 is a beauty, nothing beats the phisics of the 800, and the disk acces is fast!! with the 1050. Anyway the day the c64 died it just died, i didn't cryed... no hurt in my soul and in the other hand the A8 is still alive and kicking. Besides i have Action! so what else can i hope for?? Out of the box the A8 was miles away ahead of the C64...

I have the Action! cart, but I don't have the runtime engine to create stand alone programs. I'm shure you can get this on disk or type it yourself.... Action runtime.

Basic XE, turbo lacks some of the refinements of the OSS basic, and it's available as a rom on the net so you can emulate it. There's a manual for basic xl somewhere on the net, i think in the atariclassics site.

I got mine out of ebay, i don't remember well but i payed arround 50 for it, but i got the manual in a binder, oss original, so i'm very happy with it. i haven't seen oss products on ebay lately...

I have, i think, a partial copy of the kyan libraries, i will make an atr and post it asap.

Hi Javiero- I'm not sure quite what you are saying there. The Indus sold in Mexico was supplied with Dos 2.5? I presume that it did not have a Synchromesh loader for Dos 2.5. (?) I've put away my Indus again, but I am curious if anyone has ever tried to load Synchromesh using Dos XL (or SDX) and then boot another Dos and see if another driver could still communicate at high speed with the Indus. Incidently, I used to have an Indus that had a different daughter board in it that used an industry-standard PC drive. Also, as best I can estimate from the skew, Indus Synchromesh communicates at about "0C" (47 kbs), vs. 52 for Happy and 54 for the USD. -Larry No, my drive was supplied with dos 2.5 and says made in México by Atari. Hi Ed- Do you use an Indus GT with SDX or Dos XL? I'm presuming that you use one of these so as to be able to use the Synchromesh. I like the Indus, but I find the limitations and "quirkiness" of Synchromesh troublesome. Maybe if there were a way to use it with MyDos, I'd be more favorable to it. -Larry In Mexico Atari sold the Indus GT with dos 2.5.. jejeje, i have one, you can use it with mydos but you can't use skewed sectors.
