Well, after a long, long time i got an Atari 1040STfm, yes, the beast is mine, je,je,je.... I also got a 130XE and another XF551, now the question is: will the wife support it?, she doesn't want anymore hardware, still, i want some more, i need a Staicy, a Portfolio, a Lynx... life is good, just need more time. I will be getting a Xbox 360 on my birthday, well, not exactly, the paper says May 19. The wife bought it for me, but maybe i push her a little, i know i'm a little kid, just 38 next month...

Yes, HDDriver, by Uwe Seimet. Its the best HD software for Atari computers, bar none, IMHO. Its still supported too. I think you can buy it by paypal (not sure about that though). Yes, you can pay it via paypal, i did it that way, Uwe e-mailed me the software, very nice guy, fantastic software. Javier.

You need 2 pieces of software to convert atr images to atari disks. First you need to convert atr to dcm, you can do this using imagic by Steve Tucker you can found it here. Next you need to transfer the dcm image to an atari floppy and convert it to disk using diskcommunicator by Bob Puff, you can find the software anywhere on the net. Hope it helps. Javier.

I bought a SF314 a couple of months ago from ebay, i tought it was 20 or something, i wanted a second drive for my system but the internal died some weeks ago and i used the SF to repair it. This one is going on ebay at this time. Saludos a todos. Javier.

The SF 314 is fairly cheap, arround 20 bucks down. And don't get rid of the 520, the one that you have is the original system look under the case to find out your serial number and enjoy it. Javier.

I own both, my PSP spend most of its time in the closet... I'm playing Resident Evil DS, it is the drug for me, i love DS, my wife plays Wario and likes Ninendogs, for me is Deadly Silence at leas for a couple of weeks. PSP, i'll buy popolocrois this weekend as i love rpg's, but i highly recommend you try the DS first, sony handheld is pretty but Nintend's is innovative where it counts. Boy, a 10 years old playstation port can't be so good right??, WORNG!! go and buy Resident Evil DS right now....

I use the metal disipator of the original drive to hold the 2.5 disk in place, problem is you can't find a scsi dirve easily o cheap anymore... If anyone has a recipe please let us know.

You can try Imagic, xex, com, exe is the same, i think the extension xex comes because the dumb pc see all exe extensions as native programs... .... Hope it helps.

Well, the drive inside my SF314 is double height, but works ok with the ST, right, i've allready cut the case to make it fit... Still, i can read and write to double and single density disks but i can't read HD disks formatted in 720 with other ST, i have to figure why. Javier.

The 810 is probably missaligned; also check the band, check the write switch and clean the head. The XF551 has a newer drive mech, so imho is better suited for working on the atari this days, however they've become expensive as heck. Javier.

I have a SF314 without cable, and a 520 ST with the internal drive damaged. Can i use the drive inside the SF for the ST?. I think that's it. Thank you very much.
