Probably shouldn't have gone for more than $100 at the most. I've seen CIB without shrinkwrap on all of those go for $3 individually. The shrinkwrap isn't worth $7.

Why do people put Apple I motherboards in wooden cases? And before someone says it, the Apple I did NOT ship in a case it shipped as a bare board. You even had to source your own keyboard for it.

I know of at least one that you missed out on... not made aware of Precisely what I mean by missed out on. No, see 'missed out on' means I either knew about it and didn't bid or bid too low and lost. If I don't know about it, how can I miss out on it? Missing out on something implies that you have bad feelings about not getting it. I have no bad feelings because I didn't even know about it, and like I said before, with the thousands of Atari related listings that come and go every day on ebay, it's impossible to know about all of them.

The fake Pepsi Invader guy replied again. He said he came here and could not find anything about his cart being a fake. He still thinks it's real. I asked him if he bothered to go the forums and open up a thread about it. I don't think he did because I haven't seen any new 50 page threads with everybody here telling him his cart is a fake.

I guess we should give the Player 1 tank and the Player 2 tank in Combat different names then, right? Giving two game characters different names doesn't mean anything unless they also have unique characteristics to distinguish them and changing the color of Mario's clothes isn't enough to distinguish them. And who said anything about saying any of this to the buyer of the game? This is a completely different discussion from that one. Please stay in one or the other.

Got a reply for the Coke Wins cart. He thinks that since there are no others on ebay right now, it must be legit. I linked him to the lot that sold back in October for $20, though. I bet he's the one who bought it.

Huh? He's there when you play as the second player. On both Mario Bros. AND Super Mario Bros. Doesn't really count. All he is in those games is the Mario sprite with different colors. Luigi doesn't become uniquely Luigi or a selectable character until later games except for briefly in SMB2. He didn't even have a voice over actor until Mario Karts 64 on the N64. So what's your point? Your picture just proves my point that Luigi was just Mario with a different color palette up to a certain point. He doesn't look, sound, or act any different from Mario in that game and you can't select him as player 1. They could just as easily have let player 2 be Mario, also, and it wouldn't have made a bit of difference.

Well, considering B&C and Best get what? $700 for a TT now? More? This one with all the developer gear will probably crack a grand easy, maybe 1500.

Do you have any idea how many thousands of listings there are on ebay with atari as a keyword at any one time? Nobody can catch them all. And yes, I do check out all the bulk lots when I see them. It's common sense. If you see a listing with a photo of a bunch of carts, whether there's a list of the titles in the description or not, you should always click on the listing and look it over. I've got a few 6's and 7's that way that wouldn't have been found in a keyword search.

I just got Wall Ball recently and that certainly does not lack in crapitude. It may be rare, but as a game it really does suck. Breakout from a 3d perspective seems like a good idea, but it's almost impossible to hit the damn ball when it comes back to you. Oh, and Spike's Peak. How the hell do you avoid that damn bird thing that sends you back to start?

I can't believe they not only found it, but that they bid it up to $76 with permanent marker on the box. That would knock the overall condition way down for me.

Good deal! Any games with it of note? Nope. Just the console and ECS. I haven't actually seen an ECS go for less than $65 in a long time, so I thought I better grab this lot before someone else did.
