  1. Apart from Stadium Mud Buggies, are there any games harder to find than Congo Bongo or is it the #2 holy grail?
  2. Just grabbed a PC card adapter for the Portfolio. I don't know how much longer these things are going to be available so if I ever want to do anything with the Portfolio at all at this point I am going to need some way to transfer files to it.
  3. I think they will stop anybody bringing high value collectibles through security, particularly if it's an international flight. Have you ever noticed those signs they have that say all cash over a certain amount must be declared? It applies to collectibles or other objects of value, too. I can go through airport security with a $100,000 rare coin in my pocket and if the security people don't notice it when I turn out my pockets for the metal detector, I have just broken the law because it's the equivalent of smuggling cash out in plastic bags stuffed up your bum. I can sell that coin at my destination and it will be the same as cash. There are several very serious Federal laws that you will be breaking not to mention the laws you will be breaking in the destination country for not declaring the item.
  4. Do you have to use the calculator? Can't you just send it priority for $5 bucks? Isn't it flat rate fir anything under 70 lbs.? This is actually one of the major flaws in Ebay's new system where you can't designate a standard shipping rate. For example, in the whole sale lots category you are maxed at $9.00. That is less than what a large flat rate box costs to ship, which I like to use. So, even when you check large flat rate box, you can still only charge $9.00. You actually have to but the games in a box, weigh them and then list them. In some cases it costs more to ship Parcel Post than Priority mail. This is one thing about Ebay's shipping policy that drives me nuts. This is why you have to start your listings with a minimum bid or a reserve so you can be sure you don't end up eating the bulk of the shipping charge. So if it costs $19 to ship something but ebay will only allow you to charge $9, then you need to set a minimum bid or reserve that covers the $10 you would end up eating and then add on what the minimum amount that you would be willing to accept for your item. I would like to know what happens to those sellers who say they charge for shipping AND handling. They want the buyer to pay for the packing materials and their time wrapping it all up, doing the paperwork, and driving to the post office or UPS/FedEx depot. That's not unreasonable as it is a legit expense in processing your order. For a company paying employees to do those things, it can add considerably to the cost. Real businesses include these expenses in their prices so why shouldn't ebay sellers be able to?
  5. I had a seller use calculated shipping for a big Intellivision lot that I won and the actual shipping came out $16 higher than what ebay calculated it at. I got the lot for a really low price so the seller would have been losing money if he had shipped me the item with that shipping charge. As it was he only asked me for another $10 to cover some of the costs so he wouldn't be paying me to take his stuff away. I didn't care, though, because the price was still low enough even with the additional shipping that I felt I was getting a good deal. I had another one years ago where I won a small lot of 2600 carts for $3 and the seller put free shipping in the listing and the carts cost over $6 to ship so I took pity on him, too, and paid the shipping. That last one was the sellers fault for not realizing that shipping may be more than the auction ended at but that ebay shipping calculator needs to be fixed or done away with. It really sucks.
  6. That guy m*****h who is in the lead must be a dealer. He bids on everything and is willing to pay high prices for everything.
  7. Ikari Warriors is now being sold by the case. So much for that rarity 5 rating.
  8. $250 is still way too much, especially considering that with the Magic Sac+ you would probably be getting the 64k ROMs which were of limited value even back then. I don't think you can even use System 5 with those, forget about 6. The amount of Mac software that you will be able to find that runs under systems older than 6 is very small so what's the point? All the most important software for the compact Macs requires 6, and in some cases 7, to run anyway. I just got a package containing (2) Spectre GCR's. (One complete with docs in hard shell case, the other cart only), (1) Magic Sac+ (cart only), (1) Happy Discovery cart (cart and floppy) and (1) ST floppy cable for $175 and all the Mac carts contain ROMS.
  9. Some idiot with a lot of money who's very bored will buy them. $1500 for ESA is ridiculous, though. You can download the game for free from Bethesda now if all you want to do is play it and the actual materials included aren't worth nearly that much even shrinkwrapped. That might be a $100 game on a good day just because it's the first Elder Scrolls game. There's a complete in box floppy version for $80 on there now and the CD is a bit harder to come by, so a rarity premium is justified but not $1500 worth.
  10. It's ba-a-a-ck eBay Auction -- Item Number: 150532994473 In other news, the same seller has a Pee Wee Herman doll eBay Auction -- Item Number: 150531553386 I wonder if that's the one with Super Masturbatory Action? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ISUpKqWVVo
  11. Nah. Dynasty Warriors 5 : Empires came out for the 360 in North America around March of 2006 , 99N didn't come out till August of the same year. I have 1000/1000 gamerscore on both! Empires is a completely different game from Dynasty Warriors. Dynasty Warriors 6 didn't come out for a year and half after 99 Nights. I wish they would come out with a new Kessen game for the 360. I loved Kessen and Kessen II for PS2.
  12. It's $799 now. I guess he's going to keep lowering it until someone bites.
  13. There used to be guy in West Virginia who bought new Chinese motorcycles and fixed them up to the standards you would expect before reselling them and that would include breaking all the factory frame welds and redoing them so they wouldn't fall apart later on and completely rebuilding the engines with sturdier replacement parts than the factory used. The carbs used to be really bad so they got scrapped and replaced with better ones and the pistons and rings were prone to melting when the engine got hot, so they were replaced, too. He would also do custom chrome and paint work on request. The bike was 1000% better when he was finished with it and well worth the extra cost for the work he did. The point is if the Chinese don't care about the shoddy quality of a motorcycle that will be operated at highway speeds, they aren't going to give a s*it about a kids bicycle.
  14. You mean nearest thing other than Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Warriors Orochi, and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam? I'm going to echo Moycon and say that I've never seen anyone say that EDF 2017 was a bad game. I heard nothing but good about it. I loved Bullet Witch. One of the very few of those types of games I've ever found enjoyable. That reminds me. I need to play it some more. And Onechanbara is awesome! Although I have to say I prefer Warriors Orochi for my hack n' slash. I haven't played it in a long time, but I enjoy Dead or Alive Xtreme 2. It's relaxing eye candy. I can't really think of games that I feel are terrible but that I like. Pretty much by definition, if I like them then they're good, not terrible. At the time 99 Nights came out Koei was busy kissing Sony's ass and saying they didn't care about the Xbox.
  15. I really wonder if, in 10 years, we'll be calling EA the dumbest gaming company of the past decade. I wonder if we'll even have EA in 10 years or if they'll wind up in the vast video game graveyard with so many other companies that screwed up.
  16. Every day EA gives me one more reason to stop buying their games. If they eliminate single player mode in games, I'm done with them forever.

  18. Why him? All he got was a couple of coins. The shopkeeper was the one who got most of the money the hero was spending.
  19. I just noticed recently from listings on ebay that there are two Football labels, apparently. Mine just says Football but I've seen pics of 5200 collections for sale on ebay where the label says Realsports Football.
  20. No, I think it was aimed for us poor, stupid males generally. If men ever wised up to women the human race would die out because instead of wanting them (wrong response) we'd flee, screaming in terror, every time one looked our way (correct response).
  21. One of my buddies got it and enjoyed it. He said it's basically straight-up, oldschool, arcade-like action (Probably not exactly what the press was expecting). LOL...I may have to pick up GI Joe then. EDF got blasted by the mainstream press but I liked it too so I may like GI Joe. That's why I considered it a guilty pleasure. It got hammered hard in reviews. I always thought it was one of those games you play until the DVD turns to dust but you never tell anyone because you're afraid they'll laugh at you and kick your ass. I never thought there was anyone else out there who liked it.
  22. Oh man...I forgot about those Burger King games. Man those sucked. Hey! Pocket Bike Racer kicks ass.
  23. One of my buddies got it and enjoyed it. He said it's basically straight-up, oldschool, arcade-like action (Probably not exactly what the press was expecting). I loved 99 Nights. That was the nearest thing we got to Dynasty Warriors on the 360 and I love me some Dynasty Warriors.
