  1. Looks like we're on for the beginning of January to have all the wooden carts done. He said he's working up what the burnt skeleton and game name would be like for approval. I left a deposit for materials and told him to let me know when he requires full payment for final product.
  2. That's nice. Your zombies make me think of the Michael Jackson video for "Thriller" where they're dancing. I like this idea. Any chance of it becoming a reality? -B I was actually working on something similar awhile back (though I don't think I posted any progress on AA). Instead of heading down the screen, the zombies enter on the right and move towards the player who is shooting at them from the left. Between the zombies and the player is a wall that the zombies gradually chew through when they make contact with it. There's enough vertical separation to get up to 12 zombies on the screen without flicker. Here's a quickie demo (minus the shooting player). ZOMG.bin
  3. Here's a mock animated .gif I made showing what mine was supposed to look like: CLICK ME.. I'm ANIMATED! So imagine you're at the VERY bottom boarded up in the house. When they touch the house they remove a board, but also die. If another zombie happens to come down the same spot before you board it back up, he gets in and you get eaten. You use the paddle. Pressing the joystick button makes you move up in whatever spot you pressed it.. you move up and put a board back in that spot. It would start off slow, but get faster.
  4. I've heard Typing of The Dead is good, but that sounds like it requires a keyboard.
  5. I like how small he cut the FB2 board! Like nothing left pretty much. There's a few people who do build portables, but I don't know if their websites are still around and who knows if these people are reputable or not.
  6. See how a little persistence pays off? I had pre-ordered a Gamestop when it was coming out, but I never picked it up due to me thinking the system will fail and how I hate Sega. After all those years I get one free.
  7. I had one at least 3 or 4 different times. I think I owned one back in the day or borrowed one. Back in the day I didn't totally understand how to play.
  8. I had/have a game about Zombies in the works called "Game of The Living Dead". The name is a take on the movie Night of The Living Dead. I didn't get very far, probably because I haven't programmed in awhile. I also haven't done a game with more than one enemy updating at a time. The game play is like the Activision game Oink! kind of. You start at the bottom and have to barricade your house in. The zombies come down the screen and try to break in your house to eat your brains.
  9. I got a Dreamcast, tv hookup, power adapter, 2 controllers, 2 virtual memory units, and a TremorPack Plus. Also got a PS2 controller. I also got about 20 (copied) games. What are some good or unique games to buy? Is there anything unique or quirky for this sytem?
  10. If SMB 3 is the one with the stupid quicksand in the desert or whatever, I hate that game, so maybe having saves would help me like it just a little more.
  11. I've never heard of this either until this thread was ressurected, so I say good job for that.
  12. Yeah, that was good. I like when it freezes, it restarts and he starts humming the music again. That's the best part of the game. Ahh I love that. Duh duh duh duh. I wanna get serious here and play a real game. I don't wanna joke around anymore. Let's see anything we can do to fix this game. Probably not.
  13. Heart Attack sounds like a winner even without looking at it!!!! I'm going to check.. WINNER! Ding ding ding.. tell them thanks and thanks you too!
  14. I've started going through the list on KLOV alphabet by alphabet searching for anything that has "labyrinth/maze" in the game type..
  15. Why would it need to go that fast? Because you need to make a Nintendo World Champion edition.
  16. There were multiple screens to play. They were that tiny if I remember. You were tiny (maybe a little guy or a square?) and the enemies were tiny. That isn't an exact level, although just a representation as best I can remember. I don't know why the letter D sticks in my head. I don't know if the game started with that, but I've looked a bit on KLOV with no luck so far.
  17. Oh.. I didn't know they were that simple.. with just two choices basically 10mA and 2mA.
  18. Great artwork!!! Love it all!
  19. I can't remember what game this was.. I played it in MAME I believe. You eat the dots, and you're very tiny. The other enemies are tiny too. I can picture it in my head, but can't describe it any better. If I need I'll draw a picture.
  20. I've always wanted to go to SXSW. Great pics on that website. Would be nice if you get that black glow in the dark carpet and darken the place more like the 80's.
  21. June 2010 owns you: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/164976-retro-video-game-posters/page__view__findpost__p__2037605
  22. Any pics of the inside of your place? That would be awesome. Wish I could live out there and work for you. But some place like that isn't going to pay me enough. Wish I could at least do it part time. Your machines operate on quarters? If tokens, I was going to say maybe some AA'ers would like to buy a few tokens for their collections.
  23. I remember seeing that in the arcade I believe.. good game.
  24. I know Albert put together the Tronman carts.. if I'm looking at Mouser's website, what specs should I look for? I need 2 red LED lights that I can use for glowing eyes.
