Well, I found out the puzzle boxes were DESIGNED by a guy in the UK, but they actually ship from United States.
Not much to see here, but if you're interested here's how the puzzles ship to me:
I started to open it, but there's a lot of little pieces inside. You can kind of see those in the third picture. When I take apart the bigger pieces, there's a bunch of smaller ones in there. The instructions to assemble them are a few pages long (4 or 5?) come from the designer, but the guy who sells the kit has tips of his own on how he put it together easier / quicker.

You can also use driving controllers in Stell-A-Sketch - an etch-a-sketch for the Atari.
There's also some instructions to convert driving controllers for use in Tempest 2000 on Jaguar.
-
What is really different internally that makes not just a paddle? Why did they have you buy paddles AND the driving controller.

Many, many years ago (90's?) when I talked about a basic like language for the 2600 people kind of laughed at me. It's been done now. I'm sure the same can be done for the NES in a similar fashion, where it allows you to make a variety of games, but DOES contain some limitations.

They make photographic gloss card stock, though, is what I am referring to.
Because if you print into the gross paper it will be opaque and ugly, that's why you use photographic paper with gross paper.
-
Why do you need to print on paper and then use adhesive? Can't you just get an inkjet printer that feeds straight through and can take some type of card stock?
Will someone ever make a gatefold box template?

Laser Blast is the easiest game I've ever played. I can screw up on purpose and still do good.

He's got 50 pairs of glasses? I wonder if can cut the colors out of one, put them in front of a camera, then shoot the video and we can kind of see it in 3D too.
Any chance of YouTubing them?

By the way, the sequel to Skull Island will not be the same theme. I have a totally different idea in mind (thanks Damian), but the sequel will also feature 40 levels, but they're even tougher! Not gonna do wood again, but maybe will run with the puzzle box theme next time too.

Has anyone ever seen an LED that acts as an on off switch also? I was thinking of a small momentary switch built onto/into and LED, attached to a battery, when released lights up. That would be cool.
But anyway, I wasn't going to say anything, but how about this for an idea. A momentary switch that activates when you remove the top of the puzzle box. This would be battery powered and light up and LED or two to make the inside of the box glow.
I think would only cost me a few dollars to do and would be included in the cost already if I do it. I'm sure I can buy a handful of LED's and switches from Mouser or Digikey or something cheaper than I'd get at Radio Shack.
This page: http://evilmadscience.com/partsmenu/89-led -- has some nice candle flicker lights. Those would look awesome.

Great to know his system got a virus and now he's sharing it here with everyone. I'm not touching that file!

Received PCB with ROM today. It'll be in the wood carver's hands this week along with my joystick, power supply, and tv hookup.

I love multicarts. The more games on 1 cartridge the better I say. The price of a multicart depends on a few factors:
- Does it have any games that are not typically found on multicarts? Usually they contain the same set of games, but occasionally you'll find a gem or two.
- Does it have any interesting menu or music? I had a cartridge one time that baffled me. I only wish I could find it again. It was around 50 in 1, but it operated in two different menus. You turn the NES on and get say 32 in 1, turn it off and on again for a 28 in 1 menu. Something like that. Both menus had different graphics and music. But here's the thing: You know how finicky Nintendo's are and sometimes it takes some work to get the cartridge working? Well, a few times it wasn't working and I got a THIRD menu to pop up. Different graphics and music, although the text was garbled and I couldn't read anything. I'd love to see what was on it.
Someone made a pirate of Donkey Kong Country on the NES and it freakin rocked.

Looks like she has no shoe on the lifted foot.
I was looking at the Magenta sheet and I felt it need something. So I crafted a still frame for her. BTW, I did notice she has larger bust size than Janet. I might some do some editing armed with this insight.

I would really like to see someone use the second port to power some sort of sex toy when you win a hand.

This game should not be packaged in just a box. It needs a leather case too like those Mystique releases.

If I start coding a game with this new version, when you do add score some day do you think we might need to change anything else in our code? I don't want to start coding something with XX amount of sprites say only to not have it later.

The problem is with questions. You won't be able to do all the questions and answers in a standard bAtari Basic.
I'm still waiting for someone to design something more suited for just doing text adventures, which you could also use for this.
There was a book on cartridge released awhile ago, but I don't think they ever let the source out.

First off, you don't need to set a variable to move players. So the x = 50 and y = 50 are not necessary.
Just go player0x = 50, player0y = 50 instead.
Then later on to move them to player0x = player0x +1, etc.
-
I think there are licensing terms to why bAtari can't include everything, such as DASM compiler, and some SED thing.
-
By the way, I got that previous post covered. Just waiting for it to ship to me, then it's off to the wood carver with the rest of my Atari so he can test out the first one.
-
Shouldn't this go in the bAtari Basic forum as well?
What does nobody see it?
-
Might want to start posting in the bAtari Basic forum, dude.

He would be smarter to make an arcade onto his restaurant. He already pays rent for the restaurant (or owns it) so adding on a large room might be more economical.
