  1. That's it. I'm done. You win this exchange with that one line. Hats off to you.
  2. Now is not the time to revel in the past glories of segmented LCDs? I guess I know the answer to that question. So, you're an optimist, then?
  3. How do really feel about these mini-arcades, hmmm... ? (I just realized my young son has these. Double-hmmm!)
  4. Now that's how one does a Marketplace posting. 👍
  5. I'm going to have to take your word on the above, but it seems right to me. If you ever do get around to evaluating the color output from the EM1 relative to the heavy sixer and junior, please post your findings.
  6. There's no argument here. I will reiterate that it was and remains my opinion alone. There is no testing of anyone, at least by me, and that was never the intention of my words. I have no idea to what you refer in the final sentence. Given it seems to have occurred in the past, it's probably better to leave it there.
  7. There's no argument here (at least from me). I simply do not see or understand the suggested connection. As mentioned above, I think this thread is meandering away from any coherent point, so I'm happy to remain oblivious to it. I'm not in the affected class, so I have no opinion on whatever the shipping fees are, here.
  8. In my humble opinion, regardless of which side one chooses on any given point, it might serve to undercut the purposeless "drama" that you rightfully point out above were everyone to confine opinionated remarks to their own persons, rather than speak in terms of "we"s. No disrespect, and please correct me if I am mistaken, but I do not believe any one person here occupies a position to speak for the entire community. I don't have a horse in this race, but I'd like to think I'm part of said community and would prefer this group not be treated as a unitary bloc. Again, my opinion.
  9. Sure, and apparently (I guess) so does @christo930. That really just plays to his point in his personal estimation, as I understand it.
  10. What does A have to do with B? I see no significant, meaningful relation between shipping packages with tracking and being taxed or licensed as a business. This whole thread is running off into the thickets.
  11. "NTSC TV", given the context, meaning non-HDMI. Pretty sure that's exactly what @christo930 said in so many words.
  12. Indeed. I think that speaks to how much people have actually made use of the expansion module, the content of their Atari 2600 collections, or both. Which is a shame, as I think the expansion module #1 is one of the better efforts Coleco put forth for the system, despite the too-smart-for-its-own-good cartridge port design that's the subject of this thread.
  13. Yes, those can be uncomfortably tight fits at times. Same, too, with later Atari Corp. cartridges (the ones without the plastic guard over the board contacts) ... they fit, but I wouldn't say there's a reasonable amount of leeway between the casing and the port frame. They didn't, as far as I've seen. Beyond mainboard revisions, the only significant changes in the NTSC expansion module I've seen relate to the internal metal shielding and the fit with the plastic buttons and sliders.
  14. Honestly, the clearest evidence that there's an issue at all lies with Coleco manufacturing the extender/adapter for the expansion module at all, and not half-assing its construction in the least. Given the build quality, I always assumed it was something that Coleco perhaps intended to market on a broad scale.
  15. The Supercharger... Not sure what is meant by "fit easily", but I used personally track cartridges that would fit, but far too snugly, into the expansion module so as not to be surprised the next time around. I stopped after that list grew past maybe two dozen entries. I don't really play with oddball 2600 releases with which one might expect such an issue. I guess YMMV, but our experiences don't seem to match up.
  16. Another request here to be added for one (1) Lock-On 2600. Thanks.
  17. There's no call for this sort of remark. It is not unreasonable to ask for (future) consideration of tracked shipment, especially given the way the request was put by @alortegac.
  18. I believe this may have been made in reference to the "JuiceBox" that was produced a couple years back, which was iffy at best, as I can think of no other extant clones.
  19. A Flash Gordon derivative was released on the Atari 2600. There's a Knight Rider game for the NES. DuckDuckGo suggests there was an A-Team game for the MSX. Or did you mean for the ColecoVision? The one word answer is probably: licensing.
  20. I see what you did there, though perhaps unintentionally.
  21. Crazy. Always nice to see that "eBay’s former director of safety and security" was involved in this misconduct. I wonder what takes place in eBay's "global intelligence center"? This remark by the US Attorney involved is pretty telling: "I don't think I would characterize the conduct as rogue, because as seen in the complaint, the directive to do something about this goes pretty high up the chain within eBay." Wow.
