Thank you! I was thinking wtf that was fast where is the rest of the game. After beating that easy level it just sat there on the congratulations screen and wouldn't do anything. I'll take another crack at it tonight and check out the rest. Unless they are all basically the same?

If you like the Jag and the 3DO, you will like the CDi, I guarantee it.
I have low standards when it comes to the gaming world, so you're probably right.

I had 3 Jaguars but actually last week just traded one, well swapped it, through the mail to a fellow Virtual Boy member who had a bunch of Virtual Boys and wanted to get into the Jag. I was happy to help and sent him my sole loose Jag, controller, brick, the actual AV cable, and Cybermorph (my only duplicate game currently) for a solder fixed Virtual Boy and a game. It actually felt good tho to be able to help someone else who likes one of the reject consoles like the VB be able to dip their feet into the waters of another rejected console in the Jag.
As for the mentioning on the CD-I yeah I keep hearing it sucks, the library likely is not that good from all I've read up on. But I like the oddball consoles that no one seems to like (Jag, VB, 3DO, Lynx, hell even the R-Zone) I'll likely regret getting the CD-I but just kind of want to try something else out, even if it's terrible

Alright I popped in Slime world for my first time ever and literally beat it (I think) on the first playthrough in something like 30 minutes or less. I just kept referring to the terrible maps on the screen and then got to a hole that you jump upwards through and then it loaded me into the space ship.
It just kept scrolling "Congratulations" and a few other words at the top of a cartoon character and that was it, I couldn't go back to anything, couldn't move forward to any other levels. I am honestly not sure if I beat it or not but the game I couldn't imagine was that fast and simple.
In looking around online there was mention of multiple levels and maps and I just couldn't seem to get anything going after the Congratulations screen so I just turned it off. I've found there are supposed to be exploration, action, suspense, logic, arcade, combat but have no clue how to get to that at all.

I just busted mine out last night and played through Todd's Adventure in Slime World and beat it (i believe) on the first go around

I am an active Jag player/collector and play it all the time. But also can lump myself into the OP's first post about the Virtual Boy as well, since I have 2 systems, and a complete US game collection and some of the Japanese ones as well. Aside from the Jaguar, the Virtual Boy was my other favorite as I had them both as a kid. I have multiple 3DO consoles and games, multiple Saturn consoles and games as well. My current main jams to play are the Game Gear and Sega CD. I agree with the comments about those who post about it online as well, as the only forums I post on are this one and PlanetVB (Virtual boy forum). When you bring up the CD-I that's one of those systems that despite knowing it's for the most part a terrible system I still am trying to acquire one to play!

Damn this is looking great. Damn I should have taken a greater interest at computers when I was younger and learned to make cool shit like this.

Is it possible to also hack in God Mode and all the weapons/keys into this room to just blast through everything?
-
I have the switch one but will order this one now to sure! I like that it has some of the Homebrew you are talking about. I've been reading reviews of some of the more recent home brew games and am hoping this has them since the switch driven one doesn't.

I remember seeing that image on another thread from Racer X with the green cart in the jaguar, I didn't now it was actually a real deal and being released. To confirm, these are 2 separate games or are they the same game (one says Coin-op the other doesn't) and are these ST ports of Ninja Turtle games? I'm oblivious and didn't even know the ST had a Ninja Turtle game, I just played them on the NES back in the day.

EDIT: WalterJ64 ripped the 32X levels and sent them to me
I ported the seventeen 32X levels to work on the Jaguar for walterJ64, then hacked the Jag Doom source code to make it work... Ending after the correct level and the secret exit on E1M3 leading to the correct place, etc.
Have since made an 'enhanced' version with a more powerful shotgun to really take care of business as I was tired of it taking up to 5 shots to kill Pinky Demons

I put a video on Youtube once showing a Baron of Hell dying with one blast

It's cool to play the 32X levels without the crappy border around the screen.
Back on topic, I've played so much Star Wars in the last 2 days! I have an ST mouse in storage somewhere. Will have to locate it.
This game is amazing and reminds me of Mr. Gattis Pizza after school back in the day. Played the arcade relentlessly

Man you are really a pro at all of this hacking stuff.
I think that sounds interesting to try out the 32X Doom on the Jaguar. You said you hacked the shotgun to be more powerful which also sounds pretty awesome! Great job. I've been enjoying your Sega CD hacks you've posted online as well.

I actually like Ants, I think it's quite fun, but don;t like that high scores aren't saved. Same with Fast Food 64, I like the game, not as much as Ants tho, but it doesn't save the high scores if you're playing to get one. Mine also didn't come with the overlay he was talking about, my Frogz 64 game did but not Fast Food.

Having same problem. Can't sign in. Can't create an account.
ok then it isn't just me. I don;t know if I've ever actually created an account on here it seems. I have it attached to log in with my Facebook Account and then my "Uhateit" screen name pops up, but it keeps asking me to log in or create an account and not let me log-in with the Facebook thing (not even showing an option) so I can;t ad it to the cart or my wishlist. I was curious about buying one and seeing what the shipping charge is but can;t even get that far.

Those cases are pretty cool. Rental cases for lots of systems are hot right now and getting super pricey. Since I really don't plan to take mine traveling anywhere I wouldn't need one buy it's nice to see these cool items. The Virtual Boy one is a hot item right now and fetching good money as well.

I love that dude's site. I'm always taking a look at his reviews before I decide to invest time in playing something. Some of the stuff I like he hates generally. But I can find appreciation in just about any game. Seems he hates every CD-I game and that's a system on my list to acquire.

I didn't even know they were selling them here too! Thanks for the link. If I can get it to allow me to log in I'll buy one. For some reason using the Facebook log in seems different than the AA log in for an account to purchase an item.

Although I've been a Jaguar player since about 2000, I've never played Flashback. I watched a review of it the other day and thought that it might be worth picking up - but I've looked on eBay and you can't find a loose cart for less than about $50 US - plus add on another $20 US for shipping. I was under the impression that it was fairly common, but maybe that's the going rate for a loose common these days?
Well dammit! I sold my CIB for $25 last year not even realizing that!
I have been a Jag player since I got it new in 1995 but back then before the internet I had no idea how many games there really were and wish I did so I could have scooped up more games back then like Atari Karts, Rayman, Power Drive Rally, or even AVP back when things were on the cheapo at under $10/each or so. Same with the Jaguar CD, I don;t ever remember even seeing one at KayBee Toys even at the $50 prices people have talked about but damn I wish I had seen them when they were that price!
Other systems mentioned already included the 32X by Madman, and I have recently gotten into that and seen videos and online about people saying they scooped up games for like $1-2 each whereas you can;t find anything for that cheap now! Does make it a bad time to start collecting and I have resorted to a Modded Xbox and an Everdrive for Genesis and 32X purposes.
Another system I have loved since new was the Virtual Boy and got mine when it was brand new and had nearly a full collection back in 1996 but again without the internet then did not even know there were only 2 games I was missing at the time. Like an idiot sold all the games in 2000 for stupid crazy cheap with everything CIB as well. Now anything CIB Virtual Boy is stupid pricey! Some titled are unattainable due to the price gouging. The one people have likely heard of is Jack Bros. which is going for over $500 loose and $800+ CIB. I bought that game at Walmart in 1996 on clearance with a bright pink sticker on it for $5.99 and Waterworld for $9.99 and now they are stupid priced.

Yet...
Very true. I'll just snag one of my wife's nail boards and scuff up the ends.

I still love the original Brett Hull Hockey. I was super obsesst with hockey at that time so all the players I loved were around in 95-96ish. I figure the JHL20 would just be name upgraded then.

I use my skunk from Sell My Retro and it isn't bevelled and it seems to be doing fine. It is a snug fit I guess you could say. I like that emery board idea to shave some off tho I'll have to try that. But at least in the meantime haven't had any issues with bent pins.

Has anyone ever made a Jaguar gamepad adaptor for the Sega Genesis?
