  1. I've been searching. It would be great if there was a manufacturers name on this thing I could contact. I guess the controller arms are common to breaking being made of hard rubber send the stress of being pulled on at the stores and the weight of the controllers made them flimsy over time. Such is my burden for buying a nearly 24 year old kiosk! But for $40 it was a deal I couldn't pass up!
  2. This one has a larger port on the left called a parallel I/O what will that one do? The door cover to that is missing. I have another PS1 that doesn't have that hole (model 9001) that has a Serial I/O port instead.
  3. I checked the underside and the back and haven't found any names unfortunately It uses a regular PS1 inside that you can switch games out on. This is a demo PS1 I guess that has a model of SCPH-1001 on the back, there is a Parallel I/O hole on the back and I don;t know what that actually does, and then the red/white wire coming from it that is connected to the RESET button on the Kiosk itself, it also has composite direct cable plug ins on the back I guess to connect to the TV directly if you didn't have the regular plug. I have tried a few games on it and everything worked thusfar. I am thinking if the arms are not possible on it, I might just make it into a stand up light gun shooter as I have 2 guns (red and blue) that have multiplugs for the Saturn and PS1 and can probably swap either console into it to play.
  4. I have yet to play Doctor Hauzer but watched a video on Youtube form 3DOKid who loves the 3DO and claims it is his favorite 3DO game. It looks decent and I might have to give that a go. I did play "D" and boy was that SLOOOOOOOW but I guess for the time it was probably spectacular. If I had to play any game I would prefer a free roam kind of like Resident Evil but D was more of an on-rails type game to me, I mean yeah you can roam around but there are only so many directions you could go. Maybe games of the time just couldn't handle all the moving around to different spots or it was too much for developers.
  5. $400 CAD damn! You probably could have scored a CIB Sanyo 3DO console for that I guess I'm not an RPG fan really, the most i've ever paid for a game was $70 I think it was and that was for an Atari Jaguar game.
  6. Thank you! yeah I figured this would be almost next to impossible to find the parts for these. not knowing what store initially had this unit (and likely after 20+ years they might not even exist anymore) and then not knowing who serviced them, would be very hard to find anything. I thought perhaps these were manufactured by Sony themselves and might somehow have online diagrams for the units with part #;s (like a car dealership does) and then be able to order the parts or at least see if they exist. I'll likely just take measurements of the speaker squares and then print some color pics of 4 games I like and stick them there. My step dad seems to be a metal-working wizard and might enjoy the challenge of trying to make the metal arms and we can probably wrap them in some sort of silicone to keep them smooth.
  7. Oh for sure, Apple stock, Amazon Stock, or Google Stock!
  8. After relooking at the board it is different. I have NO experience soldering at all and wish I knew how to do cool stuff like this. My son has a few toys that are broken because he banged them and the wires snapped loose from the boards. I have no clue how to solder and reattach them, I need to learn! I'd rather learn tho on a cheap toy than a Jaguar cart tho.
  9. hell yeah Bullet Witch was also pretty awesome!
  10. Back in the 90s I don;t know of anyone who was stockpiling. But to have known then what we know now I would have bought a whole wall of Jaguars and Virtual Boys from Kaybee! For some who have tons of those consoles stocked up they were smart to do so. Alas we wouldn't have known how well the Jag would be worth today. Makes me think of that book form Back To The Future 2, to be able to know who would win in games before they happen. I'd have turned out like Biff and been a millionaire!
  11. I have a 4 eprom Jaguar cart. It has a selector switch and 8 games on it. I'm not sure if it is the same brand of cart as the one in that add but the soldering jobs are a hell of a lot better.
  12. I didn't see a dedicated PS1/PSX section out here so I am posting here in the General area. I bought my first kiosk last weekend it is pictured below. I am wondering if anyone else has this and knows if parts may be able to be bought for it from the manufacturer or from Sony. It is missing the little square inserts that go on the corners by the speakers (which are game card inserts) and then the controller arms are missing so there are baskets zip tied to the side which is fine, but having the actual arms would be awesome! Any help would be appreciated!
  13. The yellow box will likely be a hot ticket item as it will stand out on the shelf!
  14. Hey I got it for a good deal! $40 and everything works, just doesn;t have those little game card inserts that sit in the square holes by the speakers and the controller arms are missing. They zip tied those baskets on there instead. I would love to find those missing parts but it's probably next to impossible to find out who made this and if there are extra parts out there! Does anyone viewing this have this unit as well or know how to go about maybe finding those parts?
  15. Definitely! One of the best games for the Jaguar IMO. Just needs a save function to mark that you have beaten level 9 so it can move on! I cannot seem to get past BBQ to enjoy the other levels The time limit of 1:15 is too hard to beat! Do you have a patched one that can go further without needing to beat that time? Skunkboard that beast! Or burn the CD and try it if you have a Jag CD
  16. Absolutely! It was my favorite game I played when I had my PS3!
  17. I am excite that I finally bought my first ever kiosk this past weekend at a steal of a price from a local gamer that was relocating to the Northwest and couldn't take it with her. Here she is a Playstation 1 PSX North American kiosk. Everything works on it, including the reset button, the amp and both speakers and subwoofer and the light up sign and light above the unit too. I am new to this and am actually wondering if there are places to buy parts for these types of things since there are some things missing. Currently it has little metal baskets zip tied to the sides to store the controllers since the actual arms that the controllers mount to are missing. I'd love to find out where to get replacement arms aside from makeshifting my own. The other thing that is missing are the video game inserts that clip into the squares alongside the speaker units where from pics I have seen online are for pictures of the games that can be played on the console unit. Likely made from thin cardboard or plastic. Not sure where to find those either! Also since this is a kiosk thread, Id love to see pics of others Kiosks! Be it Jaguar Kiosks or any other game console kiosk! post up some pics!
  18. I was able to get a Playstation 1 PSX this past weekend and there are some missing parts. I don;t see a Playstation 1 section on here and wasn't sure where else to ask about this. I am looking for the controller arms that they mount to on the front (I don't know if these can be bought from Sony or whom to even ask). Also looking for where to get some of the inserts for the speaker panels which from other pictures I saw were pictures of various games that were able to be played on the kiosk itself and likely made of thin plastic. Any help would be great!
  19. I used to frequent Kaybee as a kid in the 90s and that is where I got my Jaguar for $29.99 in 1995 and then I bought every game I could possibly find for it by scouring every Kaybee I could get to. Unfortunately by then at least the stores I went to only had the lower end games (Checkered Flag, Zool 2, Zoop, Pitfall, Kasumi Ninja, Flip Out, Club Drive) and none of the more popular or really good titles (AVP, Doom, Rayman, Power Drive Rally, Defender 2000, Ultra Vortek). I loved Kaybee and wished I could have found more of the Jag titles and bought more than 1 console and definitely the CD unit and the games! Obviously considering the prices these days that would have been a steal! I am envious of 82-T/A for the prices they paid and what they seemed to have scored!
  20. I got a near mint used one at a store for $20 back in July. Since yours has the box I'd say $50 or so
  21. I'll buy it off of you if you still are wanting to sell it. I'd do it as a gift payment so you wouldn't lose any fees at all. Let me know!
  22. Now that it's been 6 months that since the last post I wanted to see if the rerelease is still happening this year. Also is there a CD version of this one I can buy too?
  23. All good! I recently had over 50 of them printed up for a nice CD display and many of them were likely done by you. very excellent work! There was someone who did some on a website link that weren't working (I think the links were old) and it might have been some that you did. I remember Do + The Same and Ocean Depths I just couldn't get to load up.
  24. Are you going to make a case/cover for this one Felyx?
