Flashcart and Multicart List - All systems
UHATEIT replied to PsychedelicShaman's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Anyone recently buy the Magnavox Odyssey Multicart? Looks like one of the versions is no longer sold but that they are doing a revision supposedly to be released in 2018. Curious if that's been done yet! -
SInce it's so flimsy it seems like it breaks easily and there would be a good demand for it. Hell there are replacements for the Model 2 and there are tons for things like the Sega Game gear for $5 each or less. I sent a PM to one of the guys in another thread to see if he has one since he said he would have one shortly but he hasn't been on here in 15 days to I haven't heard back. Would love to just find that simple screen piece. otherwise to buy a whole broken unit just for the screen costs me more than I paid for the working Lynx with case and 3 games!

No love for Tournament Cyberball in this thread? Or Electrocop?
-
Does anyone on here have any for sale or know of any company makes them got the model 1?
-
was waiting for them to open in a bit to call and check. Wasn;t sure if anyone had any of those also or knew of places that have them on the cheap. They seem pretty thin and flimsy so I imagine someone out there makes them.
-
I was able to get a Lynx this last weekend for a good price, likely due to the plastic flimsy screen being cracked all the way through. This seems to be a fairly thin plastic that could crack easily if pushed too hard anyways. Does anyone make replacements for the model 1 screen as all I keep seeing are ones for the model 2. Seems like it would be an easy thing to make or replicate for someone who does that sort of thing. If anyone has a replacement that they'd be willing to sell let me know as well!

Alright just tested it and it works great! I didnt read the entire first post part first and just ran the ABS and it wouldn't do anything. Saw that you have to flash the original Doom first and then run the ABS next. Straffing works. Then if you turn off the Jag and then restart Doom on the skunk the straffing is gone again. So you for sure have to re-input the ABS file before starting the game again. Would be great if this function could be added directly into the rom itself so you don;t have to do that each time. Have you thought about adding this function to some other games, or are there other games that straffing would be known to work for? I tried it on Skyhammer and it works. I would love this function on Wolfenstein tho!

Rehashing this as I got a pro controller today. I'll have to DL and test this on the skunkboard! Any chance of a straffing support option on Wolfenstein too?

Brett Hull Hockey Review From Next Generation Magazine
UHATEIT replied to mmbe's topic in Atari Jaguar
I am a huge hockey fan and Brett Hull Hockey is one of my favorite games on the Jaguar. I have it on cart and then have the CD version too. I hate that the CD version has a shit ton of slow loading otherwise it would be more fun. The cart version seems to load just fine. -
That's fucking gorgeous. I wish I was good at this game and could win the prize!
-
Off topic but Mr. Touchdown you have one of the sexiest signatures on here with all those systems.
-
Oh wow I didn't know he paid that much. Id say $50 for a repro with a nice label and a cardboard box and insert would be good
-
If it works and looks nice and you got it for cheap, then play on! The Battlesphere ROM posted out there on a bunch of sites doesn't work on a skunkboard and I sure as heck wasn't going to shell out the $$$ for a real one so a repro is likely the way to go on this one. I am glad I was able to get it for cheap since I wasn't able to totally get into the game all that much, so it wasn't a huge loss for me.

Has anyone on here tried out Philia - The Sequel to Elansar?
UHATEIT replied to UHATEIT's topic in Atari Jaguar
I did see your name as the person who donated the "memory track" to enable the save feature. When it froze during gameplay it didn't save anything so I guess I needed to hit OPTION a bunch through the game to get it to save where I was last at. it just doesn't tell you that anything is saved when you press the button. I also saw Zerosquare in the credits as well. Thanks to the "speedrun walkthrough" on youtube for sure otherwise I would have been super lost! I forgot the yellow stick and had to go back for it to get the rainbow color box to work and the part with the brain kicked my ass and reset after I hit something. But I was able to beat it! -
Has anyone on here tried out Philia - The Sequel to Elansar?
UHATEIT replied to UHATEIT's topic in Atari Jaguar
I am playing it right now and already messed up once. The CD froze and I guess it restarted the game back to my last save point, which I guess is when you press "OPTION" but when you hit option it doesn't tell you it's saving anything so I've just been pressing it a bunch of times during the game now! -

UHATEIT replied to UHATEIT's topic in Atari Jaguar
I ended up getting it. Hey for $7.18 USD it is good to support such a good developer that really worked hard on these games. It's too bad Orion is done making more games. Excellent work here dude! -

Elansar was fun so if it's a step up from that then this should be a good one. You sold me! -

I'm definitely about it for the price! I enjoyed Elansar it was nice since I was a fan of Myst as well and it is similar. I was gauging tho if anyone else had played it and enjoyed the game. Any game for the Jaguar is fine by me even if it's bad but I am curious if anyone has tried it and found it fun. From the pics the graphics look quite nice to me! -
I bought the Elansar game and really enjoyed that on the Jaguar CD. I am interested in the sequel and wanted to gauge some opinions if anyone else on here has purchased it ($6 European on Orion's site) and if they thought it was a good game or not.
-
Mad Bodies isn't that bad, I rather enjoy that game! Ad for Heretic I have played it before and it's pretty fun, but as someone mentioned it's not too much of a oss not having it on the Jaguar. But the more games we can have on the Jaguar the better so if it ever gets released I'd love to get a CIB of that!

Jag CD Stats, Facts & Views - Future Pod Discussion
UHATEIT replied to Adriano Arcade's topic in Atari Jaguar
If you have a skunkboard you can flash all the ST ports and try them without having to burn a CD of them. From what I've found the quality of the picture is no better on the CD burns of them than they are on the skunkboard flash. -
I am one that has the broken version burned on a CD. I love the game it's excellent until you can't play anymore. I lived the Sega CD version and would love to have a finished version of this!
