Atari Video Pinball console (1978). Why no love?
NISMOPC replied to Flyindrew's topic in Atari General
I've got four of them in beige (1 is CIB w/power supply, 2 are in original box but not complete and one on display). Cool little devices... ...portable unit that runs off of batteries or PSU. -

Did someone already update the Atarimania site with this picture? It's the same cart in both pics. 🤔 ATARIMANIA: Appears to be a cropped pic of the OP's picture.

Now says 8 - If you look at the pictures of it, the lower corner appears to be a small button. Fire button, 4 on the ring, 2 on the top and the corner button = 8 buttons. About this item 8-button USB joystick (1.8 m cable)

I have NO idea what RockChip device I have that I apparently updated at some point on my WIN11 PC, but the RockUSB driver was already an installed device. Sort of freaked me out since I did not see any Unknown Devices. Either way, I did not need to install the driver (skipped that part) and the firmware update went very smooth. Instructions were spot on! Thanks @Ben from Plaion and everyone else for this!!!

I purchased a Genesis to HDMI converter from Amazon for $29.99 that works incredibly well. Improved the picture quality over the HD Retrovision Sega Genesis YPbPr Component Cable from StoneAgeGamer I was originally using. Current link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z5W7QS7 I wanted all my systems running through an HDMI switch with EDID to DVI on my DELL UltraVision 2407WFP Monitor and now have my 7800 w/7800GD, my Retron77, my 2600+ and my Gamestation Pro all running via HDMI to DVI.

I recall they accidentally released the firmware early - then announced official release within 24 hours of the first release. My guess is you got the firmware that was not supposed to be downloaded.

Updated firmware to V1.3 and I have been able to load ROMS for all of the following systems and they all seem to work. I have not done any thorough testing of button mappings or game compatibility due to the numerous amount of ROMS that I have loaded on my SD card. I am also trying to filter out all the ROMS to only be US released games which has not been an easy task. Game Boy Game Boy Color Game Boy Advance NES SNES Sega Genesis Sega Master System Atari 2600 Atari 7800 Atari 5200 I plan to load MAME ROMS soon, but overall am quite amazed at the ability this $99 unit performs so far. Reading through this thread, I know there are incompatibilities and potential button mapping issues, etc. but overall (so far) this is quite an amazing addition to my collection.

Updated firmware - I am unable to push HOME + START to get to SD card menu on HOME screen. Thoughts?? But I found if you hold MENU + HOME for a second - the LED lights change color and sequences. ?!?!?! EDIT: DISREGARD! I had to format SD card as exFAT and now all works fine!

The Harmony Cart works on the 2600+ one game at a time, Awesome!
NISMOPC replied to E. King's topic in Atari 2600+
Not sure if this is good news towards multi-carts or if it's already known, but the PAL Atari 32-in-1 cartridges work on the 2600+ as well. I only tried cycling thru the games once, but most of them did play fine. A few would load to black screen or jumbled screen/sounds. Might test again to see which work and which fail in the list of 32. -
@mytek - Disregard above post... ...tested keyboard on my PC and it worked, then tried again on the NUC+ and everything works fine. NO idea what happened or why it works now, but I am good to go!

@mytek Got a question regarding the PS/2 port and PIN #4 A long while back I bought a new (old stock) PS/2 BTC 5100C Mini Keyboard to use on the NUC+ and to my amazement it did not work. Got bored tonight and revisited this. I looked over the NUC+ schematics and see that it is set up for the PS/2 pin connections: 1 - DAT 3 - GND 4 - VDD +5 V Stand-By power (SB) 5 - CLK I then looked at the tech data on the keyboard and this is what it is expecting: 1 - DAT 3 - GND 4 - VCC +5 VDC @50mA nominal 5 - CLK I am not an expert on wiring and schematics. Just know enough to be dangerous. I read up on the differences between the two, but I am not grasping it technically. Would the variance between the VCC signal and VDD signal be the potential reason for the incompatibility? Next question: Is there a workaround to this to get the keyboard to work or do they literally mean the same thing in this case? VCC = VDD

I jumped in. Pre-ordered the 2600+, extra CX40+ and CX30+ bundle. I also sent a request to them asking if the unit is compatible with 7800 joysticks since several require 2 BUTTON controllers. Will povide what they send back to me as soon as I get response.

Woot! Got mine as well!! EDIT: @john_q_atari - I got the Deluxe
-
Ha!! I did the same thing! But, I already had plenty Dupont male/female cables. They work PERFECTLY AND allow for a little bit of length vs stock cable. If I had thought about it, I would have taken pictures.

Got mine off eBay.

Cool little gadget. Bought two kits. Allows you to use Wii nunchuck on Atari. Only tested Pac-Man & Yoomp! so far. Works great on Yoomp! But a lil difficult on Pac-Man.
