  1. Learn something every day. Thought it was not compatible with XE/XL because it would load to a blue screen. All it needed was a good isopropyl cleaning on the end. Booted right up on my 130XE. I can now confidently say this cartridge does in fact work. I poked around a little bit to see functionality. That's about all I could do...
  2. Allan Hopefully these work for you. Let me know. Glad I could help out!
  3. Absolutely, well except the re-learning part. Almost like riding a bike. Almost!
  4. So stoked. Haven't been online via an Atari in over 30 years... Atari 130XE running Ice-T 2.67 via SIO2PC (Respeqt) => Atari 850 => CX-87 Modem Cable => wimodem232 => WiFi router Took very little time setting up the wimodem232 with my WiFi router and was working within minutes. The OLED screen is absolutely amazing and wireless connection... heck yea!!!!!! THANK YOU remowilliams for pointing this producct out to me.
  5. That writing is from the manufacturer. Every kantronics cartridge I've seen online has it. Appears to be manufacturer date and some other details about it. Oops: yes not the handwritten ph#...
  6. Guys I have had a few private messages from members interested in this cartridge. I am not able to test it out currently because it is only 400/800 compatible and translator disk does not work with cartridges. I only own XE/XL 8-bits, but I will be receiving a 400 from a lot in a couple days and should be able to test the functionality of the cartridge then. I will not consider offering this cartridge to anyone until I am confident that it is in working order.
  7. I received this in a lot a few months back and looked it up, but not much on it. I do not have the hardware to support it and have no desire to purchase a Katronics Interface or have a reason for a (TTYP) radio teletype terminal. Thoughts of value or who would want it?
  8. So glad to hear you got this working and so simple.Appreciate that you notified me it was available and that I actually ordered it. Just patiently waiting now. I'll be using my 850 interface (ATARI850.HND) and Ice-T. I have a CX-87 DB9 to DB25 cable on the way and already own a CX-88 (null modem) DB9 to DB25 cable, so I should be OK with the connections as well.
  9. 2600 => TI-99/4a (still own) => 800XL (still own) => most recently 2600 (several of them), 5200 (selling on ebay now), 7800, 400 (sold), 600XL, 65XE, 130XE, XEGS Several PC's along the way self built and/or freebies/bought Never ventured past the 130XE yet...
  10. Well... here goes nothing. ORDERED! Having issues with Lantronix set-up - been working on it all night. Not to mentioning I'm getting the highest pitch sound from my monitor every time I load Ice-T.
  11. Are these the newer version of the original? Works with Atari????
  12. I lost quite a bit on a couple 130XE/65XE auctions I listed last year, but I honored the winning bids, because as ebay states, the seller is responsible for all information in the listings. Too bad they do not practice this and force sellers to honor those prices. It's all good. I've also won several auctions because of this and the winning bids were honored, so it pretty much evens itself out for me.
  13. So, I read mixed responses in my search results. Seems like CX-87 needs a null modem adapter, but the CX-88 is already twisted (NULL) so no need for the adapter. If any one has more details on this, please let me know. I am waiting on the UDS, but received the cable already (CX-88). Well, I just read this: Argh. So with the 8-bit, I need one of the following?? 8-bit >> 850 >> CX-87 >> UDS-10 OR 8-bit >> 850 >> CX-88 >> null modem adapter >> UDS-10 EDIT: Found this in my parts bins from an ODBC-II car project I did years ago!! So, now just need confirmation if I need the adapter or not. Whew... Thanks!
  14. Ended up getting a UDS-10 off ebay and a Atari CX-88 null modem cable. Waiting for arrival, but should take care of my needs...
  15. If anyone is interested. This is a great starter set-up. Comes ready to play... ...starting bid $0.99 with FREE SHIPPING. SOLD!
  16. Have had my hands on at least 10 600XL's, 800XL's and even more 65XE's and 130XE's in the past 2 years and have yet to find one that needed any caps replaced. Guess it depends on personal choice, but I wouldn't bother with the tedious job unless they actually test bad.
  17. Speaking of the 850 (getting ready to go 850 >> null modem cable >> serial to USB cable >> Pi Zero), who the heck designed the input/outputs on this thing? POWER and SIO on the FRONT...
  18. the best part is the 800 isn't even hooked up. Ha!
  19. Yea, been watching for these - Never in stock and last I read, he's no longer making them. Might just go the Lantronix route via router and R45 cable. Just thought it would have been a great alternative all-in-one with that Chinese WiFi unit, but Lantronix is known to work and I have found nothing on those cheap Ebay units.
  20. That's a nice set-up, but was thinking this unit is an all in one converter and wifi. One less thing to buy and they seem to be super cheap as well...
  21. Not an expert on this, but was planning to purchase the Lantronix UDS-10 to mate up with my 850 and get my 8-bits online. I saw these and was curious if they would achieve the same "modem mode" that the Lantronix provides... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ebyte-E44-DTU-1W-SX1276-915MHz-LoRa-RS232-RS485-Wireless-radio-modem-transmitter/192161708809 There are several different versions of the same item with same specs, but none reference "modem mode". Thoughts?
  22. Just got this in the mail today... As of right now, being a 70's baby, I think this is the coolest ATARI item in my collection so far and I've got a lot of ATARI. Paired up with my Philips GA-212 turntable.
