  1. Thanks for the link. But it seems Hyperkin doesn't ship outside US
  2. Hey guys, I just receveid a mail notification from Hyperkin Labs announcing that : You can preorder the RetroN 77 NOW at Hyperkin Lab. Click HERE to visit the store page! But the orange words aren't hypertext links ! That's lame That said, i saw in the top banner of the Hyperkin (not lab) site that the console will be available 7/7/18. Clicking on the banner's ad only leads to another Preorder notification list signup : https://hyperkinlab.com/retron-77-premium-retro-gaming-console-for-2600/ Andrew !? Where is the preorder Link ? Please, take my money !!!!
  3. mmm ... with A77 you mean ? ... no, I didn't ... I do not want my joystick to break No CX40 like joystick design can resist intense Decathlon play. Maybe "microswiches & short stick" design are more appropriate, like Epyx 500 JX/Konix Speedking. But this is a little off topic
  4. I used for a long time 2 Cirka A77 before upgrading my original CX40 joysticks with Best gold PCB. A77 are responsive with great tactile feedback, very close to upgraded CX40, but more prone to break. Anyway, we are all grown up now, we know there is no need to be brutal. I never broke a A77 myself in one hundred hours of play
  5. Hi, Try Uchida 300-C-7 Orange. I think this color is a little brighter than the original, but this is the one I use for CX40 Joysticks and console bezels. Very easy to use and apply, even on small area. https://www.amazon.com/Uchida-300-C-7-Marvy-Marker-Orange/dp/B0027622OM
  6. With Best Electronics replacement PCB, CX40 joystick produce an enjoyable clicky sound too ... though not as loud as microswitch based joysticks. Tactile and audible feedback are great.
  7. Same here. I totally agree
  8. I'm no specialist, but i guess the guilty cap lays probably near (or at least is linked to) the 7805 voltage regulator. It is said that those caps on 6 and 4 switches models are green chicklets. But on my 2600 Junior there is no such cap next to the regulator. I do not know if your 2600 Jr is NTSC or PAL, but you can look here for PAL Jr Schematics : http://atariage.com/2600/archives/schematics_pal/Schematic_2600_Junior_PAL.html I would begin by replacing C36 (top left). Again i'm no specialist and i'm just guessing. Sorry I can't help more.
  9. An old thread about same issue here, worth reading i guess : http://atariage.com/forums/topic/199541-atari-2600-4-switcher-intermittant-fuzzy-reception/?&p=2547333&hl=+fuzzy%20+reception
  10. Oh yes ... it appears only on the big banner on the homepage of HyperkinLabs : https://hyperkinlab.com/
  11. If a company is dumb enough to make an April Fool joke on a long awaited product, kidding on specs, it will just instantly kill the business and loose reputation.
  12. Nowhere ? It's written on the website.

  15. Oh ... I just saw the Cnet video. On the Ataribox website they wrote that they will use real wood. Real Wood ? In fact, they mean real plywood. A very very ugly, extremly thin, low quality, misaligned plywood ...

  17. Look into your spam directory. That's where the Ataribox mail ended in my Gmail Account.
  18. Some news ! Today i opened my Atari 2600 in order to change the RIOT chip. I was lucky because all chips were mounted on sockets. I just replaced the old C010750 with the brand new 6532 chip i ordered from eBay. The console now works like a charm ! Thank you all !
  19. Ok thanks for the answer ! Another question : Is the following chip is a good replacement for RIOT 6532 ? http://www.ebay.fr/itm/1PCS-R6532P-R6532-8-BIT-Microprocessor-DIP-40-IC-CHIP-/250893307700
  20. Hello, I've got an issue with my Atari CX2600GP (secam video output). When i cold start the console, I can play a game normally but after 2 or 3 minutes, the game just resets, and the selected game number continuously increases by itself, like if the "Game Select" switch was stuck. If I turn it off, and turn it on again, the game stays stuck with game number continuously increasing. I must wait one or two hours for the controls to work again for 2 or 3 minutes. I tried different controlers (CX40 - CX78, all working fine with others consoles) and different games but always stop working after a few minutes. Did someone already I'm wondering how could this happen. Is the RIOT Chip dying ? Thanks all for your help. PS : Sorry for my bad english
