What about them?

Testament to their reliability and manufacturing at the time for sure. Parts will never be made like that again. Well, until the reset button is hit again on this planet and people re-learn how to do things the right way. For a while.

My 35 year old c64 is still going strong. That said, we *do* know how to do the right thing, but that doesn't keep the money flowing. I also think people generally prefer cheap and replaceable instead of well-built and reliable but more expensive. Then again, more expensive doesn't always mean more reliable so it's hard to tell as a customer.
