  1. I'd love to see any of these 7800 games get re-issued, since they all sell for a lot now: Ikari Warriors Mean 18 Ultimate Golf Motor Psycho Planet Smashers Summer Games
  2. That's what I would love to know. I bought it straight from Atari, and the contacts were so filthy the game wouldn't even load until I cleaned it for several minutes.
  3. Just a heads up, clean any games you put in the 2600+, even new ones! I was surprised and annoyed to discover that the copy of the new Enhanced Berzerk wouldn't work at all. I thought it might have gotten or something, then I cleaned it and discovered the contacts were filthy! It was only the third game I had played in the system, the other two were Mr Run and Jump and the 10 in 1 cart. I then had to spend 20 minutes cleaning the carts and system to get anything to play again. I'm just surprised is all.
  4. For the first time in like, a year of ebay notifications, someone puts up five different games I have been trying to snag, and they all do it when I have money for none of them. Naturally, they all sold within a day of posting.
  5. I have been getting back into Game Gear pretty hard over the past year or so, mostly as an outgrowth of my love of the Sega Master System. My family had one when I was growing up, but for some reason it just never really pulled me in. Now I am having a blast with it and trying to track down all the games I like for it. I have to admit, similar to the Atari Lynx, I love how many games are still available as New Old Stock for it and are still reasonably priced, even if the cheap ones are mostly just sports games and Majesco rereleases.
  6. Eh, I guess I can live with that. There are plenty of other ways to play with a VLM these days, although it really isn't something I was planning to use anyway.
  7. My experience with leaky basements prompted me to put everything in plastic bins. It has a better chance of keeping water out as well as dust and other debris.
  8. Are there any Nuon games that won't play on the Toshiba unit? I have seen some comments about certain incompatibilities between the models, but can't find anything concrete.
  9. I'd love to get a nuon system, although they seem pretty tough to find and the prices for controllers are just gutting. I guess I'm 20 years too late.
  10. I have heard a few people mention you need a screw and some stoppers to secure the drive in place. Does anyone have a recommendation on what size parts I should get for those, or even a link to some?
  11. It is the slow flashing. When I try to hold in the Fuji, it only turns it off, it never does the quick flashing.
  12. It works fine when I have it plugged in with the cord, and the classic controller works fine synced. I've made sure it's completely updated. Any ideas what the issue is? Can someone walk me through the set-up?
  13. The original plastic sleeves that came with your Sega Card / Sega My Card games are starting to melt/rot, and could eventual ruin the games they are supposed to protect. The same applies to the sleeves for TG16 chip games. I recently got two sealed nos games for my brother, only to discover the carts were ruined due to the rotting sleeves. After discovering that, I went and inspected all of my games, and nearly all of them (including ones I am the original owner of) are starting to get sticky and degrade.
  14. I'd like to get proper plastic replacement sleeves for my games, do you have a recommended store/site that sells them? I just want to avoid getting poor quality ones, especially since my first few looks around online made it look like quality ones are rather pricey, since I've got a lot to replace.
  15. Thanks for the suggestion. Although is the paper ok for storing games? I was worried the acid in them could develop into an issue years from now (just from my childhood encounters with cheap comic book bags & boards). I picked up a pack of these from Best Buy of all places last night just as a stop gap solution while I figure out something more permanent: https://ultrapro.com/collections/card-sleeves/products/2-5-inch-x-3-5-inch-soft-trading-card-penny-sleeves They are a little loose, although they do ok, especially for the price (I had around 55 sleeves to swap out, so.
  16. Just a PSA for TG16 owners: Take your chip games out of their plastic sleeves. The sleeves are starting to melt/rot, ruining the games they are supposed to protect. I recently got two sealed nos games for my brother, only to discover the carts were ruined due to the rotting sleeves. The same likely applies for Sega Card games for the SG-1000 & SMS.
  17. I have picked up a few more Mystique and Playaround titles, all of them New Old Stock. I've noticed a few little details about them that I figured I'd share with others: The Mystique and Playaround cases are slightly different from each other. In addition to the different logo on the front of the clamshell, the Mystique ones DO NOT have the tabs on the outside of the case for attaching a lock, nor do they come with the lock and key that the Playaround ones have. I only mention this because Atariage mistakenly states that Mystique ones do have a lock and key. The cartridge tray inside the case is also different, to match the shape of the cartridge. I have noticed it is a really snug fit on the Mystique trays. It always feels like I am going to snap the cart apart when I take the game out. It is tight enough that I have decided not to store the games inside those clamshells, which is a darn shame. Thankfully, the Playaround carts don't have that issue.
  18. Is there anywhere to check to see if and when there are sales on VCS games? I never see any info anywhere, and I want to make sure I don't miss out on any deals on games.
  19. That pac man start sound sprang to mind for me.
