Last week pictures of Krazy Ace in curved lip format surfaced in another thread in this forum. Up to this point no curved lip had ever beed produced for this title, which had always been produced as PCB carts since its 1995 release, so seeing the first curved lip cart Krazy Ace 23 years later was in itself a pretty big deal. But then a few days later surprising news kept coming in from elsewhere. Pictures of some other Telegames titles that had never been released in curved lip format began to appear in Facebook this past weekend. So now for the first time ever you can get Krazy Ace Miniature Golf, Bubble Trouble, Hyperdrome, Raiden and Fat Bobby as curved lip carts. A final surprise came in the form of mint curved lip carts for Desert Strike and Double Dragon with brand new labels on them, so it seems that it is not only their aftermarket titles that are being newly produced as curved lip carts. I have never been a fan of PCB carts, and these carts looked absolutely fantastic (definitely not 3D-printed), so this seemed like amazing news to me. I decided to order myself a Krazy Ace curved lip, and while doing so took the liberty ask Pete Mortimer how did these newly minted curved lip carts had come about. He kindly answered me that he had finally been able to find a manufacturer that could make them in small quantities, which made this new batch possible. Anyone ordering any of these games from Telegames, should bear in mind that Telegames is still keeping a stock of PCB carts for some of their titles. If you want to get a curved lip cart, your should specify it in the comment section of your order. Contacting Pete Mortimer beforehand is advisable too, so he can confirm if he still has curved lip carts in stock for the games you want to order.

Just to be clear, is this a humorous comment or a firm announcement that Zaku will ship this year BEFORE October 2? -

I'm seriously considering cancelling my pre-order and requesting a money refund and then place my order when Zaku is actually happening. -
Lynx Games That Came New in Larger Cartons
Juan José Torres replied to LynxHandyCaster's topic in Atari Lynx
The box in that ebay listing is a small box, not a large one. You can tell by the plastic handle in the back of the box. Large boxes had a smaller handle that was basically a square plastic sheet with a round hole in it. Can you post a picture of your Chip's Challenge box next to any of the smaller Lynx boxes? Nobody seems to have posted a picture of it anywhere on the net and it would be nice to have a reference picture. -
Lynx Games That Came New in Larger Cartons

That's the box for the Japanese release of California Games. Western large boxes had the exact same size as 2600 boxes, but this one is slightly taller and thinner. -
Zaku for the Atari Lynx: Official thread

Are you guys actually posting updates in your mailing list? Apart from the Paypal invoice, I have not received any e-mail related to Zaku since I pre-ordered in February. -
RetroMadrid, one of Spain's oldest and most important retrocomputing fairs, took place this past weekend. One of the exhibitions on display in the fair was completely dedicated to Lynx. The exhibition consisted of several Lynx I's and II's, as well as a full array of accesories and games (all 71 titles which were officially released between 1989 and 1995 with Atari's explicit consent and supervision), samples of Lynx publicity by Atari subsidiaries around the world, limited edition pin coffret, Japanese edition Gates of Zendocon and Blue Lightning Demo cart among other things. The exhibition drew the attention of many visitors and it sparckled interest in the console. I personally had an amazing time talking to several persons who were interested in the history and details surrouding our beloved console. I even got to talk to former Atari España employees who shared with me incredibly interesting information about the inner workings of the company at the time the Lynx was being distributed in Spain. I also had the chance to talk to the current editor in chief of the Spanish edition of Retrogamer, who was also working back then at the first Spanish magazine dedicated to gaming consoles, Hobby Consolas. He was enthusiastic about Lynx and shared with me some stories from back then. Setting up this exhibition has been a marvelous experience that I hope to be able to repeat next year. I'm already starting to consider ways to improve on this year's exhibit. As a treat, I'll leave here some pictures and a video of the exhibition so you can get an idea of what it was like.

If you check the first post in this thread you'll find your name in the wait list. Apparently, last unit shipped by SainT was on the 24th, almost a week before your reply on the 30th. SainT probably has you on his list for the next batch of units, but you'd better get in touch with him via PM to find out.

Maybe you are right, but these guys must be VERY impatient if they are willing to pay for a second hand unit twice the price of a new one (shipping costs included). My brother ordered two units (one for each of us) from SainT and he delivered them in two and a half months, that's nothing for a system that has been around for almost 30 years. Anyway, that's my take on it. Maybe I'm too laid back. Oh, by the way, a big thank you to SainT for this fantastic device. Worth every cent of the original price.

Just saw the result of this auction on eBay and couldn't believe my eyes: https://www.ebay.es/itm/Atari-Lynx-Everdrive-Retro-HQ-Extremely-Rare-With-Full-Game-Catalog-Installed/253417478151?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649 I honestly can't understand why these people are bidding so much money when they can order one directly from SainT for a lot less.
