Yeah, I'm still here. Nice find! I've got an '87, but I didn't know an '85 label existed for Pac-Man. -
I believe it's high time AA watermarks it's images.

how come atari "redistributes" some 3rd party titles?
crunchysuperman replied to lucifershalo's topic in Atari 2600
Just a guess, but with the Coleco games, I'd say Atari picked up the rights after Coleco got out of video games. -

It's a label variation, I tells ya!! -
Moon Patrol might vaguely qualify.

^ Don't forget the arcade game carrying case that was in that same spoof issue.

Not missing a trick here...? Label identification time!

Does the Adventure cartridge have a white or black fuji? Black ones are a bit harder to come across. -
That is one concentrated block of 1980's right there.

Getting a complete Atari (publisher!) collection...
crunchysuperman replied to Spirantho's topic in Atari 2600
More than the date, it had green text rather than yellow and is Atari Inc. instead of Atari Corp. If it was identical other than the date, I wouldn't care either. (not that I'll ever find one anyway ) Congrats on the Pengo! That's a monster to find. Good luck with the Hangman - it'll turn up soon enough. -

. . .and a '78 picture label Flag Capture. -
Who owns PAL Pengo (black picture label)?
crunchysuperman replied to Spirantho's topic in Rarity Guide
Never knew this thread existed. I have one (loose, of course) -
In my collection, Sentinel (NTSC) Xenophobe (NTSC) BMX Airmaster (PAL) Klax (PAL) Motorodeo (PAL) Fatal Run (PAL) all have 1990 copyrights.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Atari Corp re-releases. Here's a good thread on this subject.

Flag Capture - picture label, copyright 1978
crunchysuperman replied to Pant Load's topic in Atari 2600
I've got a sliding 1978 Night Driver, an open 1983 Mario Bros & a sliding 1982 Raiders. The sliding dustcovers didn't really start showing up until 1983-84 and the open ones until after the Atari Corp. change, so I figured they were just using old stocks of labels on new cartridges. -
Is the plastic recessed to accept the discs, or are they just glued on top? There should be a little ridge of plastic around the disc. If not, somebody just glued them on.

I'm medium indifferent to this thread.

Very nice, Tom! I'd love to have the space to set up a display like that!

Less than 10 according to Ed Salvo. DP: Apollo also offered to make customized or ‘monogrammed’ versions of Spacechase. Do you recall how many were made/sold? Ed Salvo: I think less than 10.
