Still lovin this game!
Even my 4 year old loves it.
Would be nice to see it tweaked a bit so the bars are crosses.

I know that Atari and third companies produced 2600 games from 1977-1993 and that Edtris the very first Homebrew game was released in 1995.
Was 1994 the ONLY year without a new 2600 game being offered or does anyone know of any games released in '94 that I haven't heard about.

Very nice!
Is there someone on Internet that could make a real patch like this?
I would write: "Atari VCS", "L.E.M." and "2010".
Ya know patch or no.....THAT would be a great looking label whether it is a patch or not!

I can't understand a word you men are saying but I DO understand that it is being worked on for the next release
Great job Stephen and all.
Sorry for trippin' up on this and causing extra work.

I added a bit to the "other games" section of the Halo Series article on Wikipedia stating that the Halo 2600 game was programmed by Mr. Fries and released thru AA but it was removed by one of the WikiNazis within the hour...David Fuchs was his name but David Suchs would have been more appropriate.

That happens on genuine hardware when using PAL on NTSC. Not sure if that applies here.
P.S. why does it always have to be about color with you?

AX
Got it set on NTSC and using a NTSC rom.
Every other game looks normal.

Are you sure about the settings? Check the line count (alt-L). Then use the Tab key to go to the Game Properties and check the Format on the Display tab. For instance, even if it's an NTSC ROM with about 262 lines, the Format might be set to PAL60. If the Format is set to Auto-detect, try changing it to NTSC.
Michael
Thanks Michael but I already did that.
It is set correctly. I tried it on PAL and PAL 60 and it just made it look more strange.

This is weird.
Running Stella 3.1.2 and when I play Space Invaders Arcade or Space Invaders Vector the aliens are PINK!
This didn't happen with the other versions of Stella and as far as I can doesn't occur with any other games I have played.
What could be causing this?

I would like to see a homebrew game come out with a text label.
Perhaps Fonz will do so.

I know this is thread necromancy but I was wondering if anyone still uses Z26?
Is it still being updated?
I am a Stella user myself so if anyone knows about Z26 and any supposed advantages it has then let fly!

Is comic book collecting still hot?I've kind of noticed a decline in interest, especially among the younger crowd.I've also heard that from several dealers.I wish it was like the good ole days, i used to see kids reading comics everywhere, play ball outside.I see no kids outside playing, they're all in the house surfing the net.
Its not like in the Glory Days.
Most young kids don't care about comics and many of the Old Guard like myself have gone away from the monthly titles and graphic novels and compilations only.......Amazon is the best comic store I have ever used

Is this even being tallied anymore? I noticed the Countmaster hasn't posted since June.

I cherish my Superman comics about the same as my Atari stuff and I have collected both since I was a kid.
I suppose my oldest/most valuable comic is Superman 38 from January of '46.
I don't buy the monthlies anymore but stick with the Superman Chronicles and Showcase Presents titles.
I am as retro with comics as I am video games.

You are exactly right and it does take people by surprise to know what all is going on with the VCS these days.
I have been following the homebrew scene for 6 years and have been a 2600 fan for 30 years and I believe the old system is more alive now than it has been in decades.
Wp
I loved the games back in the day, but the stuff people are doing now is just amazing.
--Will
Absolutely!
If it were 1982 and someone told me there would be games like LadyBug, KO Cruiser and your Duck Attack for the VCS I woulda thought they were smokin' Dexatrim.
Absolutely amazing stuff.

Thanks! All I did was send them an e-mail. Most people have no idea there's an active and vibrant 2600 gaming community, so when you tell them, they often want to hear more. Figured it couldn't hurt to let them know!

hey larry, welcome to atari age.
ever since nolan showed his presence here in Atari age, it's seems like all the rest are coming in now.
Which is GREAT and an honor to have the Old Legends floating about...but...they are a violent quarrelsome bunch!
I haven't seen Larry or Howard Warshaw attack anyone here but generally the legends show up with guns-a-blazin'!!

90 more minutes of Halo 2600
40 minutes of Home Run

Why does Homerun get such bad reviews??
It is a nice fun game in my opinion and I loved it back in the early eighties and would play it all the time.
I just fired it up on Stella and played the thing for half an hour and it is STILL a great little game.
I don't even like sports titles but Atari Homerun and Bowling generally amuse me.
Anyone else got love for this early title?

Heck this should be sold with an atari and promoted to all those kids over at other sites around the world. Buy an Atari today. Play Halo like your dad would have when he was a kid..>! I dont know some cheesy tag line could be produced....make a limited edition Halo Green Atari and sell it with the game...Kids will dig it!Great idea!
Heck yeah, that's a great idea, I have a spare console so I might do it. Gotta get the right paint, though

BAH!! Horrible idea!
Keep the kids away from our beloved VCS! It is the Property of Generation X.....all ours!

I gave Halo 2600 the ultimate test and let my 4 year old daughter play it...... "I shot the zebra, daddy!! I shot the zebra!!". It passed her inspection although she misinterpreted the sprites. It's a winner!

I am a huge fan of Berzerk for the 2600 and especially of Berzerk VE and the Berzerk VE Arcade hack but.....this is better. Like Mega-Berzerk.
I will go ahead and say it....... Best New Release Since LadyBug!

Someone should buy the name and put it outta it's misery!
We have the old consoles, homebrew scene and emulators. No reason for the ghost of corporate Atari to linger.

Stella 3.2 released

Indeed!
I like Stella so much that it has replaced my Vader console that I got for my Birthday in 1982 for everyday gaming. Great Job!
