Which system do you think is the most popular with the retro crowd in 2013? I of course love the Atari VCS but I know it is far from the most popular and likely only appeals to the Over 40 Crowd (like myself) and in years past I would have said the NES was the most popular of the older systems but nowadays I think I would give the edge to the Gameboy Advance. EVERY game store sells GBA games and people are still buying the system second hand and also it is very popular in emulation. Am I on the mark with this? What do u think?

Birthday 1982. It was/is a Vader model. I still have it but it's put away and I use Stella and 2600Emu for Android exclusively now.

I plead ignorance. What IS Princess Rescue? is it the SMB clone that was created last year in Batari Basic?

BUT the guys who own the original carts are not the programmers or copyright holders. Would it not be up to Steve Stack whether it is released or even if repros are made?? That would be like me buying a copy of a rare hollywood film and then claiming because of that I hold all copyrights to distribution.

Had an unusual round of Adventure last night. I played for fifteen minutes without finding the sword which I assume was in the White Castle since that was the one place I never managed to go. Grabbed the Chalice after the bat dropped it and headed from the Yellow Castle with the yellow dragon in pursuit of me. I managed to touch the Chalice to the doorway at the EXACT same time he swallowed me which triggered the end of game flashing and music BUT I was swallowed which pulled the Chalice away from the door so the game ended up with me in the dragons belly and the Chalice just a small amount away from the door but the game locked and over. Who won???

I do wish the person who made the cart release would offer a rom download for a fee. I'm sure lots of people would pay 5 bucks for a rom file that weren't interested in the cart.

Yeah you should be able to move Jumpman around and go thru all the stages.

As a person who plays emulators now more than my original hardware I want to thank you. While at work I generally play Atari and NES on my Android phone and Ature is one of the modern games in my regular rotation.

I think i figured out what happened. I was playing using an emulator on my Android phone. The select and reset buttons were positioned below the joypad. I bet I accidentally hit it. I have since moved those switches to the TOP of the screen where they belong to avoid such happenings.

All of the early/legendary arcade ports to the VCS have been rectified and improved on save for one. Pac Man has been fixed with Pac Man 4k, Hack Em and Pac Man Arcade Asteroids = Asteroids Arcade hack Defender was fixed with Stargate Galaxian with Galaxian Expanded Berzerk with Berzerk VE Arcade Edition Only DK is left in it's unfinished repetitive state. Will this ever be rectified??

Old thread BUT how do you KICK in blip football? I can't figure out how to activate the kick function.

Does Debro's Pac Man stop after the 256th Level like the arcade or does it keep going? Not that Im good enough to ever reach that level anyway.

Great game. I have been playing it all morning. I STILL say the difficulty is harder than any other Pac game on VCS except for Jr.

This needs bumped. This thread saw me go from 100% original hardware preferring to play on my Vader I got for my 12th Bday to being very Pro Emulation due to loving playing new homebrews in development on Stella well NOW it is even more for me since I have a good Atari 2600 emulator on my Android phone. Having an "Atari in my pocket" while at work has brought me even more Atarijoy. being able to take a few minutes at work to play Missile Command, Man Goes Down or Adventure and the device being able to save my game is an awesome step for this old fan and something I would never have DREAMED possible in 1982. I dig emu.
