  1. This needs bumped. This thread saw me go from 100% original hardware preferring to play on my Vader I got for my 12th Bday to being very Pro Emulation due to loving playing new homebrews in development on Stella well NOW it is even more for me since I have a good Atari 2600 emulator on my Android phone. Having an "Atari in my pocket" while at work has brought me even more Atarijoy. being able to take a few minutes at work to play Missile Command, Man Goes Down or Adventure and the device being able to save my game is an awesome step for this old fan and something I would never have DREAMED possible in 1982. I dig emu.
  2. Well THIS has never happened to me before! I was playing Adventure using the 2600emu app on my Android and I was using the bridge to retrieve the chalice from the wrong side of a wall....I attempt to cross back thru the bridge and end up in a number room marked "2" (even though I was playing on game 3) and there was NO way out!! Is this some glitch in the emulator or the rom I have or is this some fluke that had never happened to me before playing the game? I am scratching my head.
  3. Now that near everyone carries a gaming device in their pocket everyday it has brought the casual gamers back into the videogame fold to a large degree and on top of that TONS of developers are making games and putting them out there daily just like in the Golden Age of Videogames. Many of the games are total crap but some are VERY good and once again people are choosing gameplay over graphics just like we Atari fans have been screaming for them to do for so many years. TONS of crap games but that is to be expected and I have played many and taken them right off of my device asap. Some of my favorites for Android to play at this time are. Aurora Missile Mac The Man Frogger PacSnake Lep's World You can't go wrong with any of these and I understand the selection in IPhone is as good if not even better. Im one happy gamer.
  4. It is great and has nice twists on the gameplay. I know Namco Pac Man is available for Android BUT I am sick of paying Namco for that game! I put tons of quarters in the machines, bought Pac Man for Atari, NES, Playstation and on every mobile phone I have had for the past ten years. I know the new android Pac Man app is probably better quality than the shitty cell phone versions Namco has sold me in the past but I feel that I have given them enough money for that game. On top of all that Namco has fixed their official Pac Man to only work when you are online which is a totally moronic move on their part.
  5. I like Jack and the Beanstalk and Hunchy II as well as Toyshop Trouble BUT I have to give a huge shoutout to K.O. CRUISER!! How can you guys not mention that gem??
  6. A pretty fun little Pac Man clone I found in the Google Play store. For a free game it ain't bad at all. Reminds me of a cross between Pac, Ms Pac and Jr. Pac. Anyone else fond of this one?
  7. Welcome back to this glorious thread! It is becoming like Auld Lang Whatever and the late Dick Clark It would be fun to see a homebrew of it attempted.
  8. Been playing Reindeer Rescue and Boxing No Atari related gifts though.
  9. I have been a Non Programmer Advocate for a NEW DK for years! It is second only to The Fonz Movement on my agenda.
  10. Just got done playing a round of Adventure. Apparently all dragons save for the green were locked in the White Castle and I managed to win the game in about five minutes after dusting him.
  11. Just read it. Great job! Learned a lot about the early collecting days that i didn't know. Good to know I joined AA during the "heyday" in 2004

  20. Mostly just the more colorful graphics + everything mentioned here:http://www.atariage....ost__p__1231667 It was made as a "Thank you" to the small group of hardcore fans of the game. Always one of my fav games I bought that cart for Phantom II and ended up playing Pirate twice as much!
  21. The cartridge was released so has a ROM been made available yet? I would like to try this game out.
  22. What is the difference between the Pirate found on the Phantom II/Pirate cart and the "Pirate Special Edition" ROM? Is it expanded or with different enemies? Thanks
