STRANGE!! I downloaded it and am trying to fire it up with Stella and it won't do anything. All I get is a few yellow lines at the top. Any ideas?

So far the only release without the bars was a "sneak preview" Atari User did with the last issue. I'm not against releasing the full goods in the thread, if Al is good with it. Been getting my Asteroids fix by playing these two games on Stella. Meteoroids is an earlier version of Suicide Mission and a good Asteroids vector clone and Asteroids Arcade is a hack of Asteroids with many changes to make it more like the arcade version including vector like graphics. Of the two I think I will have to say I like Asteroids Arcade the best because in Meteoroids the UFO does not shoot it just sort of flies by and looks at ya. Which of the two do U prefer? I highly suggest both games. Wp

Try out an emulator to see how u like the 2600 and browse around trying out some of the new homebrew games for the system as well as the classics. www.stella.sourceforge.net in my opinion is the best emulator available. Wp

Let me clarify myself. When I say I have "switched totally to emulation" I mean for the Atari 2600 only. I assumed since this thread was in the VCS section that is what it meant. For other consoles I still use the real hardware but for Atari I use the Stella because I dig it and its right here on my desktop and I can play it anytime and I get to playtest new games in development. I wish someone would make a Christmas Game for the VCS where U play the Three Wise Men and you have to fight off desert rogues, Roman Authorities and Demons and get the Frankincense and Myhrr etc to take to Baby Jesus. Each of the wise men could count as a life in the game and it would be a good companion to Red Sea Crossing. Wp
