I play the Atari probably two hours or so a day, maybe thats what wears em out.

-
How long does a standard Atari Joystick usually last you folk? I dont know if its the equipment or the operator but lately I have been wearin em out like crazy along the lines of one every six months or so
My console is a Vader and I only buy the all black sticks, do I need to switch to the orange stripe ones or something aftermarket? Any help appreciated. -
AAAAAAH ! Takin advantage of old people! Ya coulda took her ET cart you know

Breakout, as a kid I thought it was the least cool game ever but I have learned to appreciate it in my old age

It was not the pack-in game though.

Do you mean it was a bit different than Atari Combat? Different variations or gameplay?
-
Howdy folks, Could someone tell me what Sears Tank Plus is? Is it just Sears version of Combat or another game altogether? If it is another game I wanna pick it up as I see it everwhere I shop for games but if its just Combat I shall leave it for someone who needs it , Thanks for the help

Ok first off I know this thread is a bit "venerable" but I have a couple questions maybe someone can answer , first off what is Best Electronics? Were their Ateam and Dukes carts real or repros? How much are their games worth and how hard are they to get? Ok Sorry to bring an old thread back from the dead but I was curious bout these things

In Rolling Thunder you are like a skinny James Bond fightin these Klansmen with multicoloured hoods who live underground in a place with lotsa doors
good ole family fun
-
according to my dollar converter 80 bucks in 1975 would be 273.80 in todays dollars

-
The fleas in my area are famiclone free
havent saw once since before Christmas. Now that I own a Super Joy I would really like to find some multicarts for it for five bucks or so. So it goes
-
I picked up Rolling Thunder for the NES at a flea mkt this morning for fifty cents and it is awesome
I had never played the NES port before but used to drop alot of quarters into the arcade version at Dude's Poolhall back in the late eighties
Any of you folks have a soft spot for this one? -
And whats your sega doing boxed up on a shelf? Thats just not right.
I hate to go against the grain here but other than the Sonic games I dont really like the Sega all that much, I m not really into sports stuff, but if it makes ya feel any better my SNES is up on the shelf with it too

-
Any ideas on how much the old first generation consoles (Pong , TV Tennis etc.) cost new? I remember when the VCS was over two hundred bucks but no idea how much the older ones went for.
-
Geez this is the most frustrating game I ever played
I am right under the dog/cat/monkey thing I am supposed to rescue and those damn cave buzzards or whatnot keep smackin me down! I was hoping to finish it tonite but maybe not
-
Happy Birthday Shankster
You are still a young punk to me as I am 34
Most teens I know HATE the 2600 and talk about the games being too easy ,just goes to prove they never played em
Its not just the teens though my wife is 23 and she refuses to play anything older than SNES and will not pick up the rotary phones on my desk or in the kitchen. Go figger. -
Welp I finally did it, I havent turned my PS2 on since before Christmas so today I boxed it up and it now rests with the Sega on the top shelf of my closet,it was replaced in my gameroom by a console television with a Sears Pong console hooked to it
Now the only systems actually hooked up in my room are VCS, NES and Pong Sports 4. I feel much better now
-
Thanks for the tip
It was frustrating as hell to see the bonus items and not be able to pick em up. I also loved the arcade game and will give this one another shot. -
I bought a 6-switch today, for $2.92. No power supply, though. How's that for one-upmanship?
Yip but I got all these swell games like Lost Luggage with mine and a power supply so we'll call it a draw

-
I bought Bad Dudes for the NES today cuz I remembered it from the arcades and boy was I disappointed! The NES version should be called "Blows a Goat" cuz thats what it does, in the arcade version power ups (colas etc) appear and you just walk up and get em but in this version they appear you walk up and nothing
What am I doing wrong here? Theres only two buttons. Oh what did I expect from a game where the president has been kidnapped by ninja anyway? Just some thoughts. Now where is NovaExpress to defend this thing?

Gotta a better one.1 x Boxed Atari 2600 Woodgrain 6 Switch (pal) with 2 Controllers, 2 Paddels, Power Supply, 2600 Instraction Manual And a Games Manual.
All original Boxed and In Excellent Condition
how much??
$10AUD
Geez, Poor old Sandmountainslim thinks he got a steal and someone one ups me
Congrats! And yip Steve mine had a power supply too though usually any console I pick up comes without. -
Well I think I probably got the best Atari deal I have ever gotten today, I stopped in a new thrift shop on my route while working and walked out with a woodgrain four switch console (with one joystick) Pitfall, River Raid, Basketball, Realsports Football, Realsports Baseball, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Bugs, Lost Luggage and Star Ship all for five dollars!
Geez my thrifting can only go down from here but who knows? -
You will like Starmaster
I loves that game, loves it ,loves it
It does NOT blow goats

-
Ok maybe some of you can give me some info on this thing, I have a console called the Pong Sports 4 it is from Sears telegames and still have the box with it , I know it was made by Atari as it says so on bottom of the console but that is the extent of my knowledge of it, if anyone could tell me more I would appreciate it
Oh one more thing any ideas what it is worth? I gave ten dollars for it at a flea about three years ago and just got around to trying it out this afternoon, works great. Thanks for your time.

2600jr. and Vader
in Atari 2600

Ok , I know the Vader model was made only a couple years after 82 and the Jr. was made only post crash but which model of the two is the most rare/desireable? Maybe some of you console collectors can answer this for me. Thanks
