Welp finally bought Pitfall 2 today and it is amazing
I have always liked Pitfall and had intended on buying it for years but I must say it is even better than I had thought it would be, almost like an NES game as far as the depth of gameplay goes , anyone who doesnt have this one (I am sure most of you do) DO NOT TURN IT DOWN, one of the finest games I have ever played

Ok , Saboteur or A-Team which is your favourite version of the game and why? I myself like A-Team best simply due to the nostalgia of it what with getting to be a lighning powered Mr. T. So whatcha think?

I don't think I would sell mine because I (or my family) bought many of those games back in the 1980s when they were new or semi-new. One of the few connections I have to a special time in my life that only spanned a few years. Having the actual games I got back then is worth more to me than any used replacements that I would buy later.Ditto here, my Vader unit along with my Pac Man ,Donkey Kong and Jungle Hunt were given to me by my stepmother who died in '85 so I dont think I could ever sell them.

I went to a flea mkt this morning and a woman had two light sixers but I was afraid to ask the price as she had Pac Man and Combat marked for five bucks each

This game was kind of fun before competition like Star Master put it to shame.Yes Nova is right, I bought Starmaster today and enjoy it much more than Star Voyager

Beautiful work all around. As always, AA makes the best package in the business. Check out the competition, no one else puts that much care and attention into classic gaming.
Agreed! I have only been around for a few months but I have been 100 percent satisfied with my orders and happy as a lark

Good Idea Helmet! Maybe some of the whiz kids here would consider cookin that up

-
DO NOT do without SMB3 , Castlevania 3 huh? I am playin that one tonite oddly enuff.

Anyone know what the second level of Donkey Kong on the VCS is supposed to be? Maybe some strange place where you trap ducks by leaping over them? I have been curious bout this for years.
-
I suppose its both for me , I still have the Vader console I got as a kid and all the games I had at the time (only 16 of em) but over the years I have picked up almost seventy more games to add to those, I want all the games I didnt have back in the day and I am slowly but surely gettin there, I do love the gameplay of the VCS.

Do you like Super Mario 3 for the NES SaturnX? That is a favourite of mine, I am glad you are trying so hard to like the Atari, I dunno if you have Star Voyager for it or not but I think you will be impressed with it, hang in there

I agree that enough stuff isnt breakable, I would like to be able to break into and trash every building in the game, maybe thats askin too much
-
Yeah, I definately wanna buy this one on cart, what is the usual cost for a one timer cart from AA?
-
Atari 2600 Pac Man, true it doesnt look right , Hell it doesnt even look good but I had alot of fun playing it when I came home frome school , it beat the hell outta watching Judge Wapner with my folks in the other room

I found something odd today (to me anyways) I was shopping at the Salvation Army and found a woodgrain wall mounted 2600 cart storage unit, had never saw one of these before but it looks good on my wall.

Way to go Cobra! Every now and then you can get a good deal at pawns however I always have much better luck with thrifts, congrats.

What the.....? People born in 1990 are talkin, typin and playing video games? Feel like I am in a friggin time warp or something 1990 still sounds like the day before yesterday to me or worse yet THE FUTURE!!! Geez I'm sounding/feeling old.

Hello all , Does anyone know anything about a dedicated handheld called "Senario VS Maxx"? I saw it at a thrift today for three bucks but am unsure what it is, there was no listing of games as it was without a box or instructions. Is this a famiclone like the Super Joy or something else altogether? any help appreciated.

Hello All, I had read where Genesis controllers would work with the VCS and hooked mine up to try it out, it works fine on some games but others like Beamrider , Robot Tank and a few others it either will not work at all or just fires constantly as is the case with Robot Tank. Is this true with all Genesis controllers or could there be something wrong with mine?

Got 5 2600 carts today for four dollars they were ET, Journey Escape, Vanguard, Realsports Tennis and Mouse Trap. Unfortunately Realsports Tennis was the only one I didnt already own but I couldnt turn the others down at that price not even ET

There are plenty of enjoyable games for the 2600 like Kaboom and Star Voyager just to name a couple and what about Zelda and Mario 3 on the NES? The only two systems I own that I just cannot get into are the SNES and Genesis but I am sure there are others who think they are the shiznit.
-
Oh yeah one more thing, does this game have an actual ending or just repeat over and over? The manual speaks of saving the capital starport but I didnt know if that was actually part of the game or just part of the story, as you guessed I havent mastered it enough to know the answer to this.

I have two working NES consoles, I paid ten bucks for one of them with fourteen games and a PSX without hookups and the other I gave one dollar for , it was missing the rf adapter but I just used AV hookups on it. Both of these came from thrift stores

I have to stick up for Home Run as it is a pretty fun game when played on variation 3 , I also enjoy Bowling I suppose my least favourite of the early Atari games would have to be Golf which is not alot of fun.

The original should be pretty easy to find if ya hit the fleas and goodwills enuff, I saw two copies of it today
Pitfall 2 however has taken me six months of searching (not reverting to ebay of course) but I will say it was well worth the wait, I am also sad to have missed it back in the day , it would have helped me be more prepared for SMB and not have looked like such an incompetant ass back in '86
