  1. I have the Tom2, anyone know if there is any way to change the gamepad button configuration? The left trigger for auto fire was the worst possible choice of button, and I'd like to change it. Is it possible? I tried the "e4u Adapters Configurator" program and it doesn't do much, just shows the adapter is plugged in and the firmware, which is completely useless.
  2. Hello fellows, might any helpful fellow here be able to assist a solder-challenged fellow? I'd really like a cable that can accept SCART and output to the Atari SC1224 so I can connect my various computers and consoles. I can pay a fellow for his efforts. I live in the USA. Thanks, Jason.
  3. Ok, when I run the ATR using the MyIDE II cart, it reports the SAVE was ok, but when I do a RESTORE, an error is reported. Don't know why. Any ideas? Cheers.
  4. Hello, for the save and restore of a game session, do I need to have a physical floppy drive? Cheers, Jason.
  5. Robocop has an issue in the first level: You cannot get through a door when 4 MB is used. When 1 MB is used I could complete the game. I remember a few other games having issues with 4 MB and worked with 1 MB, but cannot remember which ones. Cheers.
  6. Is there a program that can change an STE memory from 4 MB to 2 MB? I know about the 1 MB program, but some of the games require 2 MB, and some of the games don't seem to work right with 4 MB. Yes, I could simply physically remove 2 GB from the STE, but I'd prefer not to. Thanks, Jason.
  7. Ok, thanks. I found this on ebay: NEC µPD4164C-15 150 ns NMOS N.C. 128cycle/2ms But, the original MT chips have different cycles of 256: Micron MT4264-15 150 ns NMOS N.C. 256cycle/4ms No idea what difference that makes, and if NEC is good memory? Also, found this: T.I. TMS4164-20NL 4164 64K Dynamic RAM Don't know what "NL" means? Would TI be better than NEC? Thanks.
  8. Hi, I have a 130XE with bad ram. Can I use the SYS-CHECK V2.2 to simply bypass the bad ram and run games from my Ultimate Cart and/or MyIDE II cart? It is not clear from the youtube videos about that. Or, would I still have to desolder the bad ram and replace it? If yes, the SYS-CHECK V2.2 is a non-starter for me. Also, my 130XE has the expansion port on the back. If it will work, are there any in stock and where/how do I buy it? Thanks!
  9. Hi, I have the same problem in my heavy sixer. Would this item work instead of what is mentioned in the previous comments? "Atari 2600 Drop-In A/V S-Video Composite Pause Mod Kit NTSC - Ben Heck" https://www.ebay.com/itm/313140300227 So, I wouldn't have to replace transistors, capacitors, and whatnot? I cannot do that type of soldering, but I could solder the wires for the board I mention above. Thanks
  10. Thanks for the reply, but I don't have the chips as I don't know which type to use, and per my post, I don't know which chips are bad from the picture I posted. Also, I don't know if Lotharek's 64K chip will disable the remaining 128K in the 130XE RAM.
  11. Hello Fellows, So, I took a picture of the 130XE RAM diagnostic shown below. From what I've read, this only shows there are bad chips in bank 1, and the test doesn't proceed to bank 2 if bank 1 has bad chips. The 130XE has 128KB of RAM. So, if that is correct, both banks might have bad RAM chips. So, my plan would be to buy some RAM chips off Ebay and attempt the piggy back to "fix" the RAM and allow the test to continue to bank 2. If only bank 1 contains bad RAM, I can use Lotharek's 64K chip and the job is done? But, I'd only have 64K, not the full 128K in the 130XE? I think Lotharek's chip would still require some soldering of a few wires, but I should be able to do that even with my old eyesight and shaky soldering hands. I couldn't find any documentation that shows exactly how to install it. Maybe it doesn't require any soldering. Is that all correct? I've posted a pic of the RAM test. Any idea which chips would be bad from test result? The 130XE has 16 chips. Also, any recommendations for RAM chips on Ebay (make, model, type, and whatnot)? Cheers! Jason.
  12. Hello Flash Jazz Cat, I've seen some of your videos on Youtube. Keep up the good work! So, I took a picture of the RAM diagnostic shown below. From what I've read, this only shows there are bad chips in bank 1, and the test doesn't proceed to bank 2 if bank 1 has bad chips. So, if that is correct, both banks might have bad RAM chips. The 130XE has 16 chips. Also, any recommendations for RAM chips on Ebay (make, model, type, and whatnot)? Cheers! Jason.
  13. Hello fellows, so another question about bad RAM in 130xe. I was looking at this product: https://lotharek.pl/productdetail.php?id=291 But, it only has 64K, and the 130XE has 128K. So, does that mean it would not fix the issue? My 130XE motherboard has these 2 chips socketed. Not sure which socket that the 64K Lotherek product would go in. Maybe someone here knows?
  14. Hello Stephen, ok, with the RAM I can order it and send with the mobo. What is the best RAM to buy? Also, might there be a way of bypassing the RAM using the 1 MB expansion or something like that? Thanks, Jason.
  15. Ok, thanks. Might you know anyone who can replace the RAM? I could try the piggyback method and see if that works. Cheers, Jason.
  16. Hello Sloopy, I have a 130XE with bad ram. Might you still do RAM replacements? I can take the mobo out and mail. Thanks, Jason.
  17. Yes, they work, many thanks! If there are any other remaining Infocom games you can convert, I'd be interested in those also. They were all great.
  18. With Hello Dan, with the AVG cart and the SIO cable, how do you select multiple ATR files? Does it have some sort of user interface that boots when you plug the SIO cable into the port on the back of the Atari, and you can then select the various ATR files? Also, I have a stock Atari 800 XL with no memory expansion. Would AVG and SIO work for multiple ATR games? Thanks!
  19. Ok, thanks Wrathchild. Any updated files would be great. Ideally, I would think one ATR file runnable on the MyIDE II cart for each of the adventure games would be great, because of the memory limitation on that cart. Or, maybe if it is possible, one CAR or XEX for the Ultimate Cart, which can run large files?
