  1. I just downloaded the latest portable version from October, and my first impression is that this is the best looking and playing RPG/Adventure game on the unit. This game is very well done, and I am glad that you are still developing it. It is awesome to still have not only great new games releasing for the Atari 2600, but new hardware to play them on as well.
  2. No problem. Thanks for looking into it. The game looks really nice, and I do enjoy the Atari Flashback Portable.
  3. Thanks for describing the issue. I got busy the past couple days and just finally got to log in.
  4. The Atari Retro Handheld can be pre-ordered and will be released in November, so I would believe that the images represent the final product, and since the description does not list an SD card slot, it is unlikely that there is one located on this unit. Funstock Retro carries a wide range of retro gaming systems including the Atari Flashback consoles and portables, and I second what Flojomojo said in an earlier post. It would be nice to have a distributor like that in the United States. The listing does not include the name of the company producing the Atari Retro Handheld, and I have not read a press release from Atari, so I do not think it's a gaming console directly put out by them like the Ataribox. The only thing I have to think is that Atari licensed the name to a new company, but it's strange that the companies name is not listed anywhere. I am a huge fan of Atari, and have the first generation Atari Flashback Portable, which I really enjoy. I now have the Atari Flashback 8 Gold on reserve at Gamestop for the 9/22 release. While researching the new Atari Retro Handheld, I noticed something interesting on the Atari website. I am almost certain, they previously had the Atari Flashback consoles by AtGames listed on their website, and today, I could not find the Flashback consoles or portables listed anywhere on the Atari website. I purchased the Atari Flashback Portable, because it appeared that Atari did not just license out the name, but also endorsed the portables as more of an Atari console rather than just an AtGames console. Now that I do not see the consoles listed on the site, I am wondering what the relationship with AtGames is going to be in the future. With the news on the Ataribox, I would have thought this means Atari is moving all consoles in house, but then the Atari Retro pops up out of no where in the UK. I hope Atari does not continue licensing the name out to other companies, and brings all future consoles in house, selling them as official Atari consoles.
  5. I currently have all my retro TG-16 needs covered, but do dream of a new updated console more than every once in a while How awesome it would be to play an updated Neutopia, Cadash, and other great current ports on a console I have been a huge fan of since my first one in 1992 !!!!! I did look at the Retro Freak, and have to admit it is very nice looking.
  6. My Flashback 8 Gold is on reserve, and I cannot wait to pick it up at Gamestop on Sept 22nd.
  7. I just downloaded this and was hoping to play it on the Atari Flashback Portable, but the game does not function properly on the portable. I wish I was on here in time to test during the development. I read through the game manual and am very impressed.
  8. A dream of mine is to have a new Turbo Grafx system released. I have the Atari Flashback Portable 2016, am super excited about the Ataribox, and have the Flashback 8 Gold on reserve at Gamestop, but the Turbo Grafx is my absolute all time favorite system. The interesting thing is the Flashback 8 Gold I have reserved is the first Game Console I purchased at Gamestop since I purchased the Turbo Grafx-16 at EB Games in 1992. My uncle took my cousin and I to EB Games. My cousin picked out the Sega Genesis, and I purchased the TG-16 with Cadash, Ninja Spirit, and Neutopia II. Over the years, I have owned several TG-16 units, PC Engine units, as well as the Duo, and currently still have a Turbo Grafx-16 console. A new console, as unlikely as it would be to come to market, would be an absolute dream come true. Until that day, I am enjoying the Atari news as of lately. Fun times to be an Atari fan.
  9. I just reserved the Atari Flashback 8 Gold console at GameStop for pickup on the 9/22 release. Out of the 120 Atari classics included, the one I am looking forward to playing most is Megamania, even though I have it on my Atari Portable. As awesome as the portable is to play, It's not the same with the portables d-pad controls. It looks like Atari and AtGames Flashback Zone have done an amazing job on the latest console. Now looking forward to the release of the Ataribox !!!!!
  10. I just ran across this game redone for the Atari Flashback Portable, and I am amazed by the game play of the game. Gauntlet was one of my favorite games when I was a kid, and I dumped a ton of quarters into the Gauntlet arcade game.
