  1. I bought mine at the CGE02, but just had to have the signed copy I got off of e(vil)bay for $45.These late release games really do have supurb graphics.Road Runner still blows me away.

  2. I'm going to say Atari Pinball was pure crap, too easy, and way too boring.

    I'm hurt. :(

The problem with Vidio Pinball is that the "ball" is way to big,so the ball would get stuck in predictable repeating patterns that sucked any pinball fun right out of the game.

  3. OK, I'll be the first to ask it...

If I order items (over $50 worth) from the sale this time, will you ship the items that I'm still waiting for (due to the Adventure II delay) along with that batch?

I'm excited about Adventure II, but I'd really like to get my last order before I go ordering anything else. At this rate, I might not see Reindeer Rescue until NEXT Christmas. :)

Ditto! This summer is going to be like x-mass when the package does arrive. :D

  4. There is also the rarity of all those games made by Hozer Vidio.Although a lot of the titles are still made, even by AA, you just do not see these old titles very often on ebay. Then there is all the special edition numbered items, those ought to be pretty rare.

How rare would my (paper)boxed copy of Ebivisions release of Allia Quest be?I guess it depends on how many people have the item.We would have to continue, or start to do the rarity polls on the homebrew items.

  5. When I get sick of looking at e(vil)bay and I have tucked away some money I end up shopping at Atari2600.com.They accurately describe what you are buying. The only way I am getting the items I am missing for my 2600 collection is through these guys.I will second that they are a bit pricey, but sometimes it ends up being cheaper than some crazy auction on ebay.

  6. i believe that dog food mail order game can't remember it might have had a box not sure. prototypes have no box. it would be hard to beleive atari would sell a game without a box at retaile stores. it would have to special order i would think.

Chase the Chuckwagon had a box, I believe there was an auction on ebay in the last week.

Tooth Protectors just came in a stryrofoam shell.

Most homebrew games and hacks,, until recently, were cartridge only or with just a manual.

  7. Good luck!

I hate to be too much of a downer regarding the classics, but I find that the more complicated games for the 2600 (and other early systems/computers) -- I'm talking things like Raiders of the Lost Ark, Riddle of the Sphinx, and others where you basically need to keep notes, draw maps, etc. OUTSIDE of the game itself -- are practically impossible for me to get into nowadays. I'm just too spoiled by the built-in maps (not to mention all of the other features that just generally make things less inscrutible) in modern games.

For me, the 2600 games that hold up best are the simplest... the "twitch" games. I will NEVER get tired of games like Kaboom!, Yars' Revenge, etc.

Unlike back in the day when I used pencil and grid paper, you can now "cheat" and go online and find these maps.
