  1. What year was this Frog Pong released by Hozer???

Also, the Hozer christmas tin was cool.(I saw it in the forum link at bottom of this page)I was not collecting yet, and totally missed that one. :sad:What year was the x-mass tin???

Thanks in advance;I had made a Hozer cart list, but, obviously, I had missed some.

  2. Still not available at Amazon.com..??

Did I miss buying it (as in they are out of stock) or does anyone know when it will be for sale at Amazon.

I have be impatiently waiting to buy both I & II, and a couple plug and play games.

Can we say,"more credit card debt".

  3. Mine is a loose copy of Bumper Bash (my only rarity 9 item) and a boxed copy of Allia Quest, and last but not least my boxed copy silver label games (original owner) of Crazy Climber,Atari Vidio Cube,Gravitar.I thought I threw away the boxes and instructions for the last three, but just recently found 'em. :D

  4. I read this article and could not help but notice how the 'new' Atari is going through CEO's like the 'old' Atari did. These CEO's do not care about what is going on, they just want their stock options and bonuses...If the current company has the childrens games moneymaker division doing OK,then it should put the new mature audience beta games on-line to see if people are even interested before dumping so much money into marketing and production. The internet is out there, they just need to use it...But what do I, a college dropout know, huh?

  5. Oh, the dreaded "label variant" posts...

Do you think when somebody loaded up the machines ,that put the labels on these carts, stopped to think that 25 years later someone would be "collecting" that particular batch, just because of the 'crash' and the worker just trying to use up whatever rolls of labels they had lying around?<run-on sentence alert>

It's funny how expensive some of these 'cost saving' proceedures are costing us collectors nowdays.

  6. Do you collect all the carts you can find, just for the sake of collecting? Including crappy ones, like the one from Mythicon?

    873921[/snapback]

Compared to todays games I'd say 60-70% of the 2600 games are "crappy", but since I'm a 'collector', I ,unfortunately have them all.The three Mythicon games I have are still sealed in their boxes and will stay that way...

  7. I liked Missile Commands artwork so much that I drew a copy of it years ago when I was about 14 years old.I'll have to get it out and post it on my website.(which has not been updated in ages)

What's funny is that the artwork always made the game "look" better than the 'blocks and bleeps' that it really was.Nowdays they can actually print a screenshot without blushing...

  8. I actually would love to have a boxed Track and Field with controller :)

You better set aside about $500 for that one. There seems to be a lot of T&F Controllers on ebay, but only saw one complete package in two years, and it went for about $425 if I remember correctly.

Also wanted to add that I've been on the look out for Hozer Vidio releases(in fact, I've got a whole thread about it in the rarity guide forum).<and I'm too lazy to put a link to it>

  9. I would like any of the Atari childrens games in excellent shape;since kids got their grubby hands on 'em, I'm not holding my breath.

Been looking out for Tunnel Runner boxed to finish getting all the CBS games boxed. Also need a boxed copy of Cosmic Commuter to finish off Activision boxed games. Also been watching for these three Imagic games boxed-Laser Gates--Quick Step--Subterrania.

    Things I'm going to have to throw a paycheck or two at;

    Out of Control

    Guardian

all Commavid games except room of doom

most of the INTV white label games

There's more but it's too depressing to list it all after looking for three years...

  10. What happens when Combat becomes extinct?

It'll finally be worth something? :ponder:

Wooohooo!!! I'm saving my 30 copies! Early retirement...here I come.

I do not have 30 copies, but I did buy the 13 label variations from Atari2600.com,just for the hell of it.

    Will it be worth anything...no.

Is it an interesting part of my Atari collection...maybe.

  11. I still play Civ II Gold.I am hooked on the WWII(European war) and Eastwind(Japanese Pacific war) scenarios.Hell, I like all the scenarios and being able to play all the different sides.I consider the WWI and Civil War scenarios to be too easy(just build a lot of cannons and you will win),but the Mongol,Byzantium and Eastwind scenarios are excellent because there are many cities and cultures/countries.

I was into building my own scenarios until the program that allows it brokedown somehow.

I have Civ III, but just have not gotten into it yet, because I was busy with building projects for two years and moved. The boxes with the computer stuff are finally nearby, so I'll dig Civ III out soon.

Are the Civ III expansions any good? Go to Amazon.com and read the comments;they tell you which combination of software to buy...

  12. Sheesh! Some of you people have a lot of hate pent up!  :ponder:

I thought Wil did okay on Star Trek and Stand By Me. His review lacks credibility, but whatever.

It's like Jar Jar Binks. Some people hate the character, and others claimed his very presence ruined Episode I. Fine, you can feel that way, but don't forget. It's just a movie and Star Trek is just a show.

It shouldn't be that big a deal in the real world.

In Hollywood, there is no "real world".At least he is not a high school drop-out trying to write or tell us all how to think about politics....

  13. OK, here is my incomplete list....can anyone add to it??
