This is the newer multi-cart that has the on-screen menu as opposed to the 'dip-switches' of the old one.The best game on it is Boing!I bought mine for $100 at CGE02--which seems cheap, until you add in the fact that I was in Las Vega$...So is this auction worth it?Uh, yeah.

Sounds like Atari Age needs another contest like the one that made Minature Golf + a reality.New and better Combat mazes made by people who play the game...doesn't get much better than that.

Is this for real???No picture?!? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=27180

What do I do for money?Let's see, I turn a crank on this machine that makes these rectangular green things that other people accept as payment for items---I've said/written too much.....But seriously, I work for my families business and get a very small paycheck($170 a week)(or "works for food"),and I still find some loose change to buy mostly Atari 2600 stuff. You just have to be really patient and wait for bargains/deals/steals on ebay or with trading with people. For example, I just got a rare Xonox double ender cartridge for $15 the other week off of ebay;and a while back I bought some rare stuff from one of the members of this website(Frogger for Starpath and a copy of Boing!&other stuff)One thing about this hobby/obsession is that you got to ask around(the Atari Age Marketplace is a great place for this)and see if you got any other 'collectables' that other people might like to trade with them.

I like this game so much that there is a photo of my high score for star trek on my website(if you can stand all the pop-ups)

Qouted from mrs. bigferret "The only cure for stupidity is death" If we are all lucky, these idiots buying guns will shoot themselves;so,I say GIVE them guns;the more the merrier...

I also have that label variant of Freeway, but mine is worth a lot more because, um,...well maybe it isn't,does anyone else know?

I just wasted this morning playing Adventure +.Those dragons are insane on level three;especially when the arrow is locked in one of the castles being totally useless to me....Still trying to figure out what to so with the blinking gold bar?that opens up the easter egg somewhere.

Tigervision Polaris CIB (cart. green label!) Relist!
dwh replied to smile_walle's topic in Auction Central
Well that sucked!I was outbid by one dollar This was going to be my one big auction for this week....oh well, I'll go look for something else. -
Stop collecting? Not likely.I've made the mistake of buying different game systems off of ebay, because I got sick of watching those $150+ Atari 2600 auctions. Am I running out of room?Yes,but once I build my house,I'll have much more room...(this is not a joke,by next fall I will be moving into a $110,000 home that I will have slaved on for a year) So where are those Atari Anonymous meetings anyway?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...4&category=3537 That's a-lot of games for someone just starting out.Wish I had seen this two years ago

I'm going to stray slightly off topic here-- So how many of those LP Atari records are there? I've got the record for Asteroids&Missile Command (MC came with booklet.)Are these records listed here at Atari Age? ....and yes the Data Age record is cool, and I've missed picking one up several times off of e(vil)-bay.

'ghost in a jar with dog poop' --this is getting real silly

POLL: How many times have you been burned/screwed on eBay?
dwh replied to MrRetroGamer's topic in Auction Central
About 3 sellers--but who knows, the post office in Sacramento,CA was just raided for people ripping off packages--mostly people who needed money for their meth drug use(that's what the newspaper claimes anyway)...All in all,it still amazes me to get something from New York via the USPS;that's alot of miles.I'd say I've lost maybe $140,which is no big deal. -
There is a sears picture label version of baseball in this lot, incase anyone's lookin'. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...9&category=3528

Mysterious and Elusive Sears Exclusives (and Braunschweiger)
dwh replied to Room 34's topic in Atari 2600
I didn't know that Sears had a meat department I'm going to have "liverworst' sandwich for lunch today.... And yes the games got better when the silver label era started(earthworld & ET aside)Oh great now this thread will be hijacked by the 'five million copies of ET' thread.... -
That's the way to go,so you can pick out which carts have better labels or different labels. After about two years you will end up just watching the auctions(which costs nothing by the way),because you can't afford the "Quadrun" auctions. Now days I buy something cool(and expensive)about every four months. It is fun to watch the auctions go wild knowing it is not your money involved...

I'd rather play 'Cakewalk' Just kidding Tapper does indeed rock;if I play well I can get around 20k on it.
-
I got a complete boxed Atari 2600 Atlantis for .99,when I first started using ebay.I've also gotten lucky with 'buy it now' items--just got dragonstomper sealed for $25.
-
Very cool;I still like to play this game in emulation every so often.

What happened to Cat Trax,Funky Fish&Pleiades that were going to be offered in the Atari Age store?

London Blitz and Mines of Minos + nice system and fun games
dwh replied to hhwolfman's topic in Auction Central
Damn it! I was outbid...Again -
I just got outbid on three items today as I slaved away installing wiring in our new building here;but I only bid what I can afford. When I started ebaying(if that's even a word) I lost 4 auctions on Time Pilot for 2600,but get this, and all by 'one cent'.Now that was discouraging...

Paid $100 for combat II for the 2600 complete in box;and paid $110 for a loose copy of Texas Chainsaw w/manual.
