  1. How about the worst companies being the ones that just pirated/copied/ripped-off games, without ever making any original concept games at all. I must agree with all that Mythicon is the worst company 'claiming' to have good original games.
  2. Smada Bez wrote, 'nope.. like this' I posted my link before looking at the 2600 hardware webpage here at atariage. Thanks for the correction and the tip;I'm mow watching that auction...

    Thrust question

Yeah, crowns are a 'pain', but it's gold right? It's sort of like having permanent jewelry in your mouth--until the crown falls out-which it will someday. (now before this goes off-topic) Thrust is expensive&very popular at this time, but worth every penny.

    Indy 500

The rarest Indy 500 item to get is the sears version of a complete boxed set(game box+driver controller box)<--Correct me if I'm wrong here. The Tramiels sure could not keep things straight then;but made messed up label variants for us to collect later.
  6. I will enjoy having the 'back-to-school pak' in my collection! This was one of those 'sleeper' auctions that you had to read to see what it really was. When the 'racing pak' comes up for auction, I'll be there...
  7. http://www.classicgaming.com/o2home/ AtariAge.com is such a good site that this Odyssey 2 site has been re-tooled with a new database simular to the ones found here.
  8. I agree with Albert that X3VOLuX is the 'better' of the two hacks;just from the description of the two games here at atariage, I only bought X3VOLuX.It's a basic shooter game with a weird scoring system.
  9. Several of the message board people here have a white label space shuttle that is NTSC format and will play on US/Canada TV's.So it's always worthwhile to get the white label carts to see which type they really are.
  10. You do have a label variant! And getting it off of ebay is just luck; nobody lists this label variant(more than half the time the end label is not even photographed)--you would just have to buy a lot of vidio pinball games until this one showed up.

    atari question

I just started buying boxed games, and must write that ebay can be a pain for label/box variants just because you can not see the fine print on these items(if a picture is posted), unless the seller spells out exactly what it is.I have the silver label variants/release dates listed on my want lists, but it gets confusing. All in all, it opens up a new door to 'collecting'.I will also endorse Tom Young on ebay--most of the carts I'vs gotten with good labels come from him.

    Jawbreaker

So, how much lint will it take to get a copy of Jawbreaker? I actually like the game;plays better than pac-man...

    UnFATHOMable?

Are these maps still on-line?Can someone please post a link.I already figured out the flying off the screen/messing up the count trick--this game is picky.

    Coleco

http://www.cgexpo.com/news.html Looks like the cgexpo people are trying to line up some former Coleco employees. Here's your chance to 'praise' them or 'raze' them for the 'inferior' 2600 games. To keep with the thread-I like Roc N Rope, just because it's so darn hard to control.
  16. I hope the site comes back, it was cool.Every time I see a thread about these old protos and copyrights, I just have to laugh--how can people get bent out of shape over 20+ year old 4K games?
  17. It looks like some people that want something for nothing need to look up the definition of 'Capitalism' in a dictionary. My next order/purchase from Hozer Vidio already has Gunfight at the top of the list...
  18. I am planning to attend the Classic Gaming Expo at the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas. My question is this-is the Plaza Hotel nice to stay at,and is it just more convienyant to stay there anyway to attend the Expo?Did people that stayed there last year have a good experience staying at the Plaza Hotel?

  20. Been playing 'No Escape!' by Imagic--it's different...
  21. Just looked thru 4 pages of "cameras/electronics" at the goodwill auction site and only saw three items-one atari 2600 with storage case&games & two nintendo systems. It's Ebay all the way...
  22. I went to two places on Sunday and there were no electronics for sale at all(this IS the 21st century, right!?)Oh well, I'll just save up some money and order stuff online from Hozer Vidio & others. Also going to save even more money for a trip to Las Vegas this August for the Classic Gaming Expo.
  23. Thrust is #1!..If I had finished college, I might have been able to count down from 3 to 1!Last time I played Thrust, I got all the way to the anti-gravity-then it was all over.

    Sinistar

The 'proof' that this is an unfinished prototype is the fact that nothing happens after 20 minutes of playing the game...maybe one day some of the retro-programmers can finish these proto games to something playable;I'm sure people would pay good money for that.
