With the IDE flashrams it appears to be the best added hardware upgrade for our Atari. Let me understand... with MyIDE+Flash with IDE FlashRAM, we could manage a lot of ATR images, XEX files, ROM or BIN cartridges in our Atari without aditional cables. It is true? (well, at start an aditional SIO2PC for copy images from PC library images)

Good job. A few days ago, I enter in Atarimania and see that exists an option to let view only screenshots. This is a powerful feature, because if you don't know Atari games by name you can view the screenshots and select the game from your interest. Its easy, funny and nice. You count with two screenshoots for every game, I think you can add an option to view a giant list of couple screenshots with the game name, year, and other little data. I'll continue exploring the new enhancements.

As Fandal said in another post.. there is a lot of work to convert theses type of Cartridges like Commando. Better play the ROM in the emulator. You can get this ROM or another in atari.online.pl Good luck and find the secrets chambers!
-
Still, hasnt been converted the Cartridge into ATR format. Only you will find .ROM images for emulator from Commando game.

I suggest "Challenguer" , is a arcade game hibrid between vectorial and raster asteroids with great color improvement. Ive played in 1983 and its the best "asteroid game" that i have played. Basically the main concept is the same as asteroids, you must destroy all asteroids in the screeen. But, there is a lot of things for each level you reach. The ship move left and right in the bottom screen, with a command you can send the ship top the top bottom, is very funny and you should to play in MAME, its simply, but adictive.

Well, I've reviewed some basic software from my diskettes and I prepaired a booteable basic disk with utilities, games, demos. Some of them are peruvian software from a Magazine called "Informatica creativa", some of them i dont know. However, enjoy it. espanhol.zip -

That is the probe, Atari have the tool for have good music in the right moment (1986). I remember other side of disk, contains tutorials and even examples how to add .MUS files in basic programs. Its a pity this masterpiece of German software was hidden for the most atarian programmers. Who is Juergen Piscol (initial credits in the intro)? -

With the extense database that Atarimania drives, it should be easy to design a interfase 100% Flash Macromedia that could manage a database with contents. Imagine a Oracle database that could contain musics and even videos. What database manager use with Atarimania, MySQL? Access? MSQL? Oracle? -

Welcome. I have a great software that I cant found on Internet in anywhere (HTTP or FTP). Its strange, because its the best music editor before TMC and RMT time. It far superior at AMS music editor. I think the software should be 2 faces of a single disk, but I have only one, tha main face, off course. SoundMachineEditor.zip P.D. : A little help for users: - Yellow line at the bottom shows keys to use in the editor music mode - Green line at the bottom shows keys to use for (I) Play, (M) access disk and (X) Other options. -

I found a "Galactic chase" title, but its different from the version in Atarimania. These are the differences: - Background color is yellow instead black - In the bottom middle appears 3 flags (not right, not left, the middle) - Lives are six, and when you lose a live, still the same amount of rest lives. I think it should be a cracked version, it worths to scan this file? -

Really, exists a game from your list that worths the wait? Well, Atari has bad, medium and pretty games, why to collect in a database the bad games? (even the games that cant show any interesting technical hardware aspect) I found 3 titles exactly in my collection, but I need to review what publisher is. Maybe I could have a winner software. -
Thanks, surely when it is the right moment, I'll share my work, but don't expect so much from me.

I thinked CPU halts between the beam get the current next line position, and in VBI the CPU halts until the beam get the first screen position. But... I think i was wrong... Then, DLIs and specially VBI are using as clock process, but every code in a interrupt routine spend CPU process. How about sprites, Ive heard activate sprites spends main time too??
-
Let me understand this technical stuff. Why RMT player in a VBI spends time for main process? I thinked VBI cycles time is always considered as free aditional time, using or not. Maybe, when a VBI routine exceeds the 20000 cycles of deferred VBI, then spends main time? If this is true, in this way... DLIs could spend main time too? So many questions...

Finding for more information about Beach head 2, I found this excelente site. Just look at the animated sprites!!! Interesting review from Atari 8bit http://www.intellivision.ca/index2.html

Form The Atari 8bit FAQ:
-
Yes, someday a device will be welcome. Will be cheaper than buy cartridges. Fandal, i was thinking about convert a 128Kb cartridge. Im sure Commando use only 128Kb to get playing a level. In a disk version, every level the game should stop and load the data for the next level. In this way it could be posible to convert a 128 version without extra memory. But, its sure this type of conversion needs more changes in the main code.

C64 lose memory if BASIC is still active?
-
Yes, really this is the ponit. I think its the only multiplayer action game for Atari. (and the first multiplayer in history games)
-
Grrr... really we need a Cart2PC cable...

I also have the Midi Maze rom (and Commando for that matter), but it's the same deal as with Mean 18. I'm not sure if I have permission to give them out. Sumark (who is currently selling the carts) was nice enough to give me the roms so I could review the game but at that time I was told not to give them out. I'll have to check and see if this has changed or not. Tempest Ok, could you post a video from Midi Maze then? Who sells the cartridge?
