I should have also mentioned that I think the overwhelming majority of members of any fan base are (in my experience at least) pretty relaxed, easy going, and pleasant to be around people who just happen to think some particular thing is cool. You'll find a few oddballs here and there in any fan base, but I think by and large most people are alright. =)

@Jin I agree, I myself am a brony.

Considering that I rarely go out in public or pay attention to current events, I don't know much about what's going on when it comes to "Fans". I like the show, but I'm not obsessed with it.
