Interesting cart. Never seen this one before. Looks like a cut-the-costs label (since the original Gameworld ones were silver).

I posted that comment almost a week ago and I regret it now, certainly after Omega's examinations of the code. The first time I read the topic header, I thought: 'That one has already been dumped ages ago. What's so special about it?' That's all, no less no more. I'm glad it has been dumped. I'm still puzzled about the floating crocodiles in the PAL Home Vision version, though. Why would the released PAL Home Vision version contain this 'glitch'?

Wait a minute, Mr. Postman. I do appreciate your effort dumping this ROM. All I'm saying is that it was not the first NTSC dump of this game. That one has been floating around for many years, hence the reason I didn't get the so called hoopla. BTW: as you probably know, I'm a big fan of Taiwanese VCS games and I play them a lot (I will post some great news about Taiwanese originals in the coming weeks) and I'm a far from bitter person. Anyway: don't be too offended by my post, keep up the good work and a happy New Year to you too, Mr. Postman. Cheers, Rom

And a Happy New Year to you too, Shawn.

Yes, it's a PAL cart (check the cart's serial number): http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-pitfall-ii-lost-caverns_7421.html

A Happy & Healthy New Year to you all! Cheers, Rom

Bit Corp carts dumped, incl. (finally!) NTSC Snail Vs Squirrel
Rom Hunter replied to Ballblaɀer's topic in Atari 2600
Plate Mania, Tanks War, Cosmic War and Teddy Apple from Home Vision are Bit Corp originals. The never released (but reviewed and ad shown) Jacky Jump from Home Vision is a Bit Corp original. Lilly Adventure looks gameplay wise a lot like Bobby is Going Home, but that's the only connection so far. However: traces of a Bit Corp logo have been found in Ultravision's Karate, and there's a lead that Condor Attack is a Bit Corp original as well. -
As you already mentioned in this topic, it's not the first NTSC dump of Lilly Adventure (and to be honest, I don't really understand all the hoopla around this particular dump). But by looking at the crocodile colors and the speed, it looks like the closest one (although in the original PAL Home Vision version the crocodiles 'float' as well). Nevertheless, I'll put this one in my HC ROMS collection as the NTSC version of the PAL original from Home Vision (instead of the Jone Yuan one).

Slightly related, but different cart. Belongs here: http://www.atarimania.com/pgelstsoft.awp?system=2&type=G&publisher=3281&step=200 -

Thanks for dumping these, Ballblazer! Great to have all the Bit Corp. originals now in NTSC format. The new ones are added to the V17 collection (replaced the Unknown Frostbite with Eskimo Jump). Love Turtle Race. -
Happy Birthday, Al! Keep up the good work! Cheers, Rom

Nice. Didn't know about this poster. I'll add it to the database.

Childhood nostalgia inspired me almost 20 years ago to archive and examine VCS ROMs and scans and collect information about companies and thus exploring the history behind games, programmers and companies, although the history behind games already fascinated me as a child. I still own articles and cut out reviews about games and programmers that I collected back in the day.

AFAIK there's no connection to Davids WIP motorcycle games and Sunteks Motocross. Also, it's still not proven that Around the World is the same game as Motocross. It has never been found and is still only a vaporware title shown in Home Vision ads.

The announcements in Computer Entertainer are not automatically the release dates.

Still looking for these last third party PAL ROMs that have never been dumped: - Coco Nuts (Telesys) - Plate Mania (Home Vision) - Stargunner (Telesys) - Stronghold (CommaVid) - Topy (Home Vision) - X’Mission (Home Vision) The Home Vision ones are PAL originals. If anyone with a dumper has the chance to .bin these, please let me know! Also interested in a ROM dump of Air Battle: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-air-battle_19390.html

Holy sh*t. That's an incredible sight. Love it. Thanks for sharing!

Added. Many thanks!

Assholes. I hate to see this.

Worst sunfading case I've ever seen to this day.

My collection only contains 1977 - 1992 (Atari era) ROMs. Flashback ROMs are from a later period.

Will be a short test. No shark is gonna bite.

You could look at the glue residue to see where to top label belonged. I notice the damaged sides on the Ultravision label, so perhaps the top label belonged there. Both cases are possible. I'm pretty sure both games play and look the same, except for their format (in most cases NTSC games play a bit faster). Do you have a way to test them?

Nice! Which game is Invader - 2? And which game is on the Jo Jo cart?

The NTSC version of Vulture Attack sometimes had a Condor Attack label from Utravision underneath: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-vulture-attack_12099.html AFAIK K-Tel Vision did not release any non Funvision games, but distributed them overseas.
